Ever since I finished reading her book, Colour my grave purple, I had been wanting to meet the author, Shehnab Sahin. Then Milin introduced me to her and she agreed to come and tell her story in Galpawalar Pera. And what a story it was... of her life in India, in Damascus and in Beirut, of war, of friendship, of courage, of suffering and of humanity. And since then I have been trying to arrange a 'solo' event.
And finally, here it is... next Sunday, 17th May, Shehnab will interact with Hrijoy Kanungo and the audience about her life and what makes her tick... be sure to be there...
