GU Model High School - English Section A High School in the GU Campus
Full name: Gauhati University Model High School - English Section
(Formerly known as GBN Academy) B. N. Academy.

Although Gopinath Bordoloi Nagar, that is, the Gauhati University Campus came into existence as back as in 1955, with residents drawn from all over India, there was no provision for secondary education to cater to the cosmopolitan society of the campus. in view of this a society in the name and style of Gopinath Bordoloi Nagar Academic Society was formed with the academics of the University as members. The society established the Academy in 1993 in a serene, secure and immensely productive atmosphere to provide quality and updated education through English medium to suit the requirements of the intelligent young boys and girls in changing and ever advancing world situations. Keeping in the spirit of philosophy of the society, the institution has been named as G. Later on in January 2013 the school came under the GU Administration and eventually the name has been changed to GU Model High School - English Section

The issue of boycotting the farewell while showing "collective strength" is a very bad precedent that has been set up .

Today I heard it from Mamoni Mam and I am highly dissapointed with the conduct of the juniors.

Hope such huge mistakes do not occur .

A school is not a place to settle personal scores.This should be clear on everyone's minds.

It is very sad to see our own juniors at school not behaving properly with their teachers. Teachers are our guide who devote their time for us so that we can become a significant human being and successful person in life. Don't you think they deserve much more than what you give them? Your love and respect are the only thing they want from you. Please behave well with your teachers.
