STELLAR VICTORY: MAHARISHI VIDYA MANDIR III HOSTS AND SHINES AT GUWAHATI BIOBLITZ 2025

Maharishi Vidya Mandir- III proudly hosted the grand Award Distribution Ceremony for the landmark GUWAHATI BIOBLITZ 2025-a vibrant initiative centered on " Celebrating Curiosity, Observation & Biodiversity" in collaboration with the Assam Climate Change Management Society (ACCMS) and Help Earth under the able guidance of our Principal Dr.Amlan Kr Dey and Coordinator Mrs Jumpa Dutta.The auspicious occasion was graced by Chief Guest Dr.Rizwan Uz Zaman ( Chief Consultant,ACCMS, Government of Assam), alongside other esteemed dignitaries including Debojit Phukan(Principal Shiksha Niketan).The event's grand success was spearheaded by Dr.Jayaditya Purkayastha -eminent herpetologist, conservation biologist, wildlife researcher and General Secretary of Help Earth -who played a pivotal role in organising this monumental celebration of nature. Out of 7 participating institutions, 4 schools emerged victorious, with Maharishi Vidya Mandir-III triumphantly dominating the leaderboard. Demonstrating exceptional observational skill and passion for biodiversity,our students achieved a historic clean sweep in the Most Species Category - Ronit Agarwal (1st), Barnab Hazarika (2nd),and Saptarshi Bharadwaj (3rd)- while Chinmoy Barman secured 2nd place in the Most Observations Category.It was an occasion of immense pride for our institution to both host this grand gathering of young environmentalists and champion the spirit of citizen science!

The entire MVM III family remembered and paid homage to the pinnacle of Assamese culture, Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardev, on the occasion of his 578th birth anniversary. The programme was hosted by Dhritija Barman of Class X C. Principal Dr. Amlan Kr. Dey delivered an insightful speech highlighting Srimanta Sankardev’s immense contributions and enduring legacy. He urged the young minds to uphold and carry forward the rich legacy of Srimanta Sankardev. As a tribute to the Vaishnavite cultural tradition, students presented Sattriya dance and Naam, reflecting the profound cultural heritage inspired by the Mahapurush.

*Observance of Zubeen Divas*

Maharishi Vidya Mandir III observed *Zubeen Divas* with heartfelt respect and remembrance of the legendary Assamese artist *Zubeen Garg*. The programme commenced with the *lighting of the ceremonial diya by the Principal, Dr. Amlan Kr. Dey*, marking the beginning of the tribute.

Students paid homage to the legendary artist through *music, dance and poetry*, beautifully portraying their love and admiration for his remarkable contribution to Assamese music and culture. Through their performances, they remembered the legend and celebrated his timeless creations, which continue to inspire and touch the hearts of generations.

The programme was a heartfelt tribute to the enduring legacy of **Zubeen Garg** and his invaluable contribution to the cultural landscape of Assam.

Stellar performance at the 43rd Abhiruchi Sports Day.
Maharishi Vidya Mandir Public School - lll, Guwahati, proudly celebrates its outstanding performance at the 43rd Abhiruchi Sports Day, held on 3rd September 2026. Our students showcased remarkable discipline, synchronisation, rhythm and vigour, securing 1st position in the Mass PT Competition and 4th position in Mass Jogging. Students paid heartfelt tribute to the maestro through soulful musical performances and graceful dance, celebrating his extraordinary contribution to the world of art, music and culture.

🏆 A Proud Achievement for Maharishi Vidya Mandir 3! 🏆
We are delighted to share that our students Laksh Baghel, Shrinjoy Borah, and Pujyam Phukon secured the 🥉 3rd Prize, along with a cash award of ₹6,000, in the Quiz Competition organised on the occasion of the International Day of Clean Air for Blue Skies.
The competition was organised by the Assam Pollution Control Board in collaboration with the National Science Centre, Guwahati, and Aaranyak, and was held on 7th September 2026 at the National Science Centre, Khanapara, Guwahati.
🌿 The competition provided an enriching platform for students to showcase their knowledge and awareness of clean air, environmental challenges, biodiversity, and sustainability.

The Girls Football Team of Maharishi Vidya Mandir Public School - lll, Guwahati has made the school proud by securing the 2nd Runner - Up position in the CBSE Far East Zone (Girls) Football Tournament 2026, held from 1st to 5th September 2026 at Infocus India Public School, Bira, West Bengal.
With courage in every game, unity in every move and determination till the final whistle, our young players gave a commendable performance and brought home a moment of great pride for the entire MVM lll family.
