ইণ্ডিয়ান ষ্টুডেণ্টছ অৰ্গেনাইজেচন (ISO)ৰ তৰফৰ পৰা ১৫ অক্টোবৰ, ২০২৫ তাৰিখে (বুধবাৰ) বাক্সা জেলৰ বাহিৰত প্ৰতিবাদৰ সময়ত অতিৰিক্ত আৰক্ষী অধীক্ষক (অপৰাধ শাখা) গীতাৰ্থ দেৱ শৰ্মাৰ অত্যধিক লাঠীচাৰ্জৰ বিৰুদ্ধে ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় মানৱাধিকাৰ আয়োগ (NHRC) আৰু অসম ৰাজ্য আৰক্ষী জৱাবদিহিতা আয়োগত এক আবেদন দাখিল কৰা হৈছে। এই ঘটনা অসমীয়াৰ মৰমৰ শিল্পী জুবিন গাৰ্গৰ সন্দেহজনক মৃত্যুৰ প্ৰতিবাদৰ সৈতে জড়িত, য’ত প্ৰতিবাদকাৰী, সাংবাদিক আৰু আৰক্ষীৰ কেইবাজনো আহত হৈছিল। আবেদনত মানৱাধিকাৰ লংঘন, আৰক্ষী নিৰ্দেশনা উলংঘা আৰু গণতান্ত্ৰিক অধিকাৰ হৰণৰ অভিযোগ উত্থাপন কৰা হৈছে।

আমি নিৰপেক্ষ তদন্ত, দোষীৰ বিৰুদ্ধে শাস্তিমূলক ব্যৱস্থা, আহতসকলৰ বাবে চিকিৎসা সহায় আৰু ক্ষতিপূৰণৰ দাবী জনাইছো। এই আবেদন ৰাষ্ট্ৰীয় মানৱাধিকাৰ আয়োগত ৩৫৫/২৫ (২৬) নম্বৰত পঞ্জীয়ন কৰা হৈছে। ISO এই ঘটনাৰ ন্যায় বিচাৰৰ বাবে প্ৰতিশ্ৰুতিবদ্ধ।

A Humble Appeal to the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India

The Indian Students’ Organisation (ISO) has submitted a heartfelt memorandum to the Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, through the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, urging the Government of India to confer the Bharat Ratna upon Shri Zubeen Garg.

Zubeen Garg is not just a legendary artist but the soul of Assam and the cultural heartbeat of India. His music has united generations, spoken of love, unity, and justice, and carried the voice of Assam and the Northeast to the national stage with dignity.

Honouring him with the Bharat Ratna would be a recognition of his unparalleled contributions to music, art, and culture, as well as a tribute to the rich heritage of Assam and the Northeast.

🙏 We earnestly hope the Government of India considers this heartfelt appeal in memory of our beloved Zubeen Da.

🚨 **Upholding Women’s Dignity in Assam Assembly** 🚨

Indian Students Organization submitted a memorandum to the Speaker, condemning MLAs for dragging women into Assembly debates. Assam, the land of *Maa Kamakhya* & *Nari Shakti*, cannot tolerate such disrespect. We demand strict action & a code of conduct amendment. Let debates be about **floods, jobs, and education—not someone’s wife or sister.**
