Healthcare is not just about treatment. It is also about awareness, prevention and reaching the community.

Pratiksha Institute of Allied Health Sciences (PIAHS) successfully conducted a Health Camp at Panbari on 26th September 2026, in collaboration with the local community.

The initiative focused on promoting health awareness, preventive healthcare and healthy living, while providing local residents with basic healthcare guidance and support.

The active participation and cooperation of the Panbari community made the camp a meaningful and positive experience. It was an opportunity to connect, share health knowledge and encourage people to take a more proactive approach towards their well-being.

Through such community outreach initiatives, PIAHS continues to contribute towards community health, preventive care and social responsibility. 🩺

🕊️ A morning of remembrance, music and togetherness.

Today at 10 AM, the Pratiksha Group of Institutions came together to remember Zubeen Da.

Students and faculty from all three departments joined hands to celebrate his life and legacy through songs, dance, acting, drama and heartfelt performances. There was laughter, emotion, music and, most of all, a shared feeling that is hard to put into words.

Because for Assam, Zubeen Da was never just a singer. His voice became a part of our lives.❤️

Today, we didn’t just remember him. We celebrated the memories he left behind.

Learning beyond the classroom. Advancing care beyond boundaries.

Our BPT students, accompanied by Assistant Professor Dr. Ornelia B. Mawrie, attended a one-day short training programme on "Comprehensive Rehabilitation Approaches for Acid Attack Victims and Survivors" organized by CRC, Guwahati.

The programme provided valuable insights into holistic rehabilitation, patient-centred care, legal considerations, and vocational rehabilitation strategies for acid attack survivors—strengthening our students' understanding of compassionate and evidence-based healthcare practices.

We are also proud to share that Dr. Urvashi Bhattacharya, Associate Professor, PIAHS, was invited as a Resource Person to deliver an expert session on "Early Intervention and Functional Rehabilitation in Acid Attack Victims."

Such opportunities empower our students and faculty to contribute meaningfully towards inclusive healthcare and rehabilitation services.
