'KALAHI' the 38th annual Magazine of Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon for the session 2024-25 inaugurated.

Observed International Human Rights Day by the Department of Political Science in collaboration with IQAC and CCSU, Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon. Mr. Kamal Thakuria and Dr. Phanindra Kalita gave the valuable lecture in that event on 10-12-2025.

"The Statement" A digital students journal of the Department of Political Science, Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon Issue:I, Vol.-I of 2024-25 released on 06/12/2025. Dr. Naba Kr. Kalita, Principal of Chhaygaon College released the Journal in the smart class room No.13 of the institution. Dr. Phanindra Kalita, HoD of the Department anchored the event.

A students seminar presentation on the topic "Three Tyre Panchayat System in Assam" was held on 03/12/2025 in the Department of Political Science, Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon. Dr. Phanindra Kalita was the mentor of this Seminar and 47 students of B.A. 1st Semester were present in the event.

Observed National Constitution Day by the Department of Political Science in Collaboration with IQAC, Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon on 26th November, 2025. Lectures delivered by Mr. Kamal Thakuria, Ex-HoD and Dr. Phanindra Kalita, HoD of the Department of Political Science, Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon. Students across different Departments of Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon participated in the event.

The wall magazine 'বিৱৰ্তন' on the theme 'Digital World: Bane & Boon' is released today on 22/11/2025. Mr. Hiren Saloi, retired Official of SBI and an Alumni of Chhaygaon College was invited to grace the releasing ceremony. It was a result of hard work of the students of the Department of Political Science.

Teacher/Faculty Exchange Programme between Department of Political Science of Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon and J.N.College, Boko on the topic Constitutional Literary: Understanding the Spirit of the Indian Constitution is held on 12/11/2025. The lecture was delivered by Dr. Phanindra Kalita, HoD, Department of Political Science, Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon at the premises of J.N College, Boko.

An awareness programme is organized on Constitutional Rights and Duties by the Department of Political Science in collaboration with IQAC, Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon at Houhowa Xoster village of Kamrup District. Date: 07-11-2025. Mr. Kamal Thakuria, and Dr. Phanindra Kalita, HoD delivered their lectures. Mr. Jogen Boro summarized the programme with vote of thanks. Mrs. Jyotsna Rahang, Mr. Bishnu Saud, Mr. Naba Kalita and students of the Department of Political Science took part very actively and makes the programme a grand success.

Akash Kalita a student of the Department of Political Science is felicitated on 27/09/2025 in the College Auditorium as the best graduate (CGPA 8.45 = 84.5%) of Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon for the academic session 2024-25.

Barnali Kalita, Ex-student (passed in 2016) of the Department of Political Science, Chhaygaon College, Chhaygaon and currently is an Assistant Professor of Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Adarsh Mahavidyalaya ,Dalgaon, Darrang and a Research Scholar of Gauhati University has donated a bundle of books for UG level students on 16/09/2025. We wish her success in life.
