Kamakhya Ram Barooah Mahavidyalaya celebrated National Sports Day on 29th August at the College Playground. Organised by the IQAC, NSS & Sports Cell of the college, Kabaddi and Kho-Kho were selected for the event, to create awareness about the importance of indigenous sports. These sports also provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate their physical strength, agility, coordination, strategic thinking and team spirit. National Sports Day is observed in India every year on this date to honour the birth anniversary of Major Dhyan Chand, one of the country's greatest hockey legends. The programme was formally inaugurated by Dr. Syeda Arifa Sultana, Vice Principal of the college. Students enthusiastically took part in Kabaddi and Kho-Kho, displaying great energy, agility and team spirit in keenly contested matches.
The celebration successfully fostered a spirit of fitness, discipline and teamwork among students, in keeping with the ideals of Major Dhyan Chand.

Kamakhya Ram Barooah Mahavidyalaya, in collaboration with Gyantrika Foundation, Guwahati organised the Internship Programme for 4th semester students on the theme ‘AI in Arts and Creativity’. This Internship Programme commenced on 27th June, 2026 and concluded on 25th July, 2026, covering a total of 120 hours as per the prescribed guidelines of Gauhati University. The AI tools taught included Chat Gpt, Google Trends, perplexity, Google Gemini, Quillbot, Canva, Gamma, Claude, Google flow, Sunday Ai, Google Arts, Notebook LM, Grammarly, Google Scholar, Eleven Labs, Plant ID Whisper. Ms Amina Ahmed secured the first prize in the AI-based Flyer Making Competition and Ms. Puja Jaiswal was the first in academic performance. Dr Sonali Borah Sahariah of K.R.B. Mahavidyalaya, nodal officer of the Internship programme co-ordinated the whole course.

Kamakhya Ram Barooah Mahavidyalaya celebrated the 80th Independence Day on 15th August 2026 within the college premises. The programme was attended by students, faculty members, children, and members of the Robinhood Army. The programme began with the hoisting of the national flag by Dr. Chandrama Goswami, Principal of the college, after that national anthem was sung by the gathering. In her address, the Principal spoke about the significance of the 80th Independence Day and highlighted the pivotal role played by Assam in India's freedom movement. The Principal's lecture also celebrated India's achievements in science, technology, education, infrastructure, and women's empowerment, while candidly acknowledging the social and economic challenges that persist. She emphasised the need for inclusive and sustainable development that balances economic growth with environmental conservation, drawing particular attention to the context of Assam and the Kaziranga landscape. She concluded by encouraging the youth to make responsible use of their education, freedom, and opportunities, and to contribute actively towards nation-building.

On 22nd June 2026, the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of K.R.B. Mahavidyalaya organised a Field Trip, to two significant cultural and educational destinations in Sonapur — Zubeen Khetra and Science City. The program was arranged to give pupils an enriching chance for experiential learning outside of the classroom, encouraging scientific curiosity and cultural knowledge. The NSS and NCC Unit of Kamakhya Ram Barooah Mahavidyalaya observed International Yoga Day with a morning yoga session held in the College Playground with the participation of NSS volunteers, NCC cadets as well as a few women from the neighbourhood.
