The Parliamentary Committee was glad to meet the Traditional Healers of Assam associated with BioNEST, NIPER Guwahati where they discussed about different herbal medicines available with the Traditional Healers. We are happy to announce successful completion of 2-days Awareness Programme (13 - 14 August 2021) on BIRAC-BIG (Biotechnology Ignition Grant) for the innovators of North East India, entitled "Rs 50 Lakhs for innovation: How to apply" conducted by the BioNEST Team of NIPER Guwahati.

The Awareness Programme was supported by six BIRAC-BIG partners, i.e., IKP-Hyderabad, C-CAMP Bangalore, KIIT-TBI-Bhubaneswar, SINE IIT-Bombay, Venture Centre- NCL Pune and IIT-Kanpur.

We were glad to have with us Dr. Viswanadham Duppatla (IKP-Hyderabad), Dr. Neelanjana Janardan (C-CAMP Bangalore), Dr. Namrata Misra (KIIT-TBI-Bhubaneswar), Dr. Bratati Mukherjee (SINE IIT-Bombay), Ms. Pallavi Bawaskar (Venture Centre- NCL Pune), Ms. Rohini Chawla (SIIC IIT-Kanpur) while Dr. USN Murty (Director NIPER-G) delivered the inaugural speech and Dr. Sonali Roy concluded the session by briefing about the facilities and mentorship provided to work in BioNEST NIPER-G.

A few entrepreneurs across India joined us to share about their success journeys as well.
