Departmental Magazine inaugurated by Dr Shipra Paik,Retired Associate Professor, Department of Sanskrit,Arya Vidyapeeth College on 29/11/2025 and Retired Teacher Lecture on IKS

The Department of Bengali organized a *Society Connect Programme* under Viksit Bharat 2047 on 9th March 2025, fostering experiential learning and social engagement. Faculty members and students visited Tegheria, a village in Sonapur, Kamrup (M) District, to interact with the local community and understand their way of life.Our students actively communicated with the residents to learn about their lifestyle, culture, and livelihood. Through this discussion, they gained knowledge about the education, occupation, medical infrastructure, environmental issues etc of the people of that village. The Department aims to continue such initiatives to bridge the gap between academia and society.

The Department of Bengali, Arya Vidyapeeth College (Autonomous), successfully hosted an Alumni Connect program on March 29, 2025, in Conference Hall 2. The event, commencing at 10.00 PM, provided a valuable platform for students and faculty to engage with expert insights.
The prominent alumni Prankrisna Kar, Retired professor of the Department of Bengali,Hojai College,Hojai served as the esteemed resource person. His presentation focused on the memory of the Department and the retired teachers. Some other alumni of different batches also shared their memories and ideas on different issues.The program witnessed participation from students of the 2nd, 4th, and 6th semesters of Bengali Department, along with the faculty members. The faculty members also shared their views about the alumni and their journey of the Department..Dr. Sumita Bhattacharjee,HoD of Bengali conducted the entire program and lastly Dr. Purnima Saha delivered a formal speech on vote of thanks..The program was really successful to build a relation and connection with the alumni.
