Dear Students,
We are organizing a condolence programme in memory of Zubeen Garg da today at 6:00 PM in our college campus. This programme is being organized as GCCians, not under any student political party, to honor his contribution and legacy.

We warmly invite all current students and ex students from HS, B.Com, BBA, BCA, M.Com, and MBA to join us in this heartfelt tribute.
We also request the support of at least 50 students to help in lighting the diyas. Those willing to help are kindly requested to arrive by 5:00 PM.

Former Vice Principal of GCC, Prof. Dilip Sharma sir signed off his life journey today at 10:15 am at Narayana Hospital, Bangalore. He will be remembered for his unique teaching style, his disciple, his smile and a positive attitude towards Life.
Rest in peace sir. GCC lost a superb guardian today 🙏

Their Project 'FOOD FOR THOUGHT' has made it into the finals and is selected for the National Echo Summit

It is to inform all the students studing under Gauhati University that the University has decided to conduct the exams only through the offline mode. It is observed that the University has made little consideration for the life and health of the students which has also created a panic among the students. So, keeping in view the interests of the students we demanded the concerned authorities of the University to conduct the exam through both offline as well as online mode i.e. blended mode. But the authorities seems to have turned a deaf ear to the interest of the students.

So, on 30th April, 2021 we are initiating a *Twitter & Facebook Strom* to lodge our protest. So we request everyone to use the given hashtags on 30 April at 10am- 6pm in the respective apps. We also request you to mention the following people in your posts.
Hope you all will help us in making this initiative a success.

We, Gauhati Commerce College Students' Union, will always stand with the students of Gauhati Commerce College.
We won't tolerate any kind of physical torture on any student without any proper conclusion. We are trying to enquire whatever happened with the students of b.com 3rd semester yesterday and we will keep requesting the college authority to take necessary measures to maintain the decorum of student-teacher relationship till we come up with a clear conclusion.
And if college authority don't come up with any conclusion, we surely will.

GCCSU stands for the students of GCC.

One of our Bcom 5th semester student *Raj Duarah's* father had an heart attack two days ago and an immediate heart surgery is required for his treatment. They are having a financial crisis and his father is the only earner of the family. So I request you all to kindly contribute at least a minimum amount for his treatment.
