(WORLD'S FIRST DNA COVID VACCINE)

1.Zydus Cadilla made first DNA COVID VACINE in the whole world. Zycov-D derived from the the two words ' ZYDUS CADILA ' and 'COVID'.
2.On 20th Aug, ZYCOV-D recieved approval of emergency use from the DCGI, making it the 6th COVID-19 vaccine to be approved in India.
3.ZyCov-D is the first vaccine in India that can be used to adults as well as children above the age of 12.
4. ZyCov-D uses a genetically engineered and non-relicating version of plasmid.
5. ZyCov-D will use a spring powered device to deliver the shot a a narrow stream of fluid that pricks the skin instead of needle shot into the skin.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
1. The plasmids in ZyCov-D vaccine are genetically engineered or coded with instruction to make SPIKE PROTEIN of the covid-19 causing SARS-COV .
2. Vaccination gives genetically coded instruction to the cells in the receiver's body to build up protein.
3. The immune system of the body recognises this as a threat and built antibodies for fighting in response.

How many Doses are required?

There will be 3 doses with an interval of 28 days between the first and second, and second and third jab.

2nd DOSE - PFIZER - BIONTECH
3RD DOSE - ZYCOV-D

EFFICACY - 66.6% in 3 clinical trial involving 28000 participants.

Assam daughter Lovelina Borgohain brings cheers to the country India and her state as she nabs a medal for boxing at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Hailing from the Golaghat district of Assam, Lovelina was born on 2nd october, 1997. She is the daughter of Tiken Borgohain and Mamoni Borgohain. The youngest of three siblings (with her two elder sisters), Lovelina is from a family of farmers. However she followed her dreams and worked hard to make her way to Olympics.
She won bronze medal at the AIBA Womens' World Boxing championship 2018 & 2019. She won gold medal at 1 st Indian Open International Boxing Tournament held in New Delhi and selver medal at 2nd India Open International Boxing Tournament held in Guwahati. She secured 3rd rank in the 69kg welter weight category. Lovlina Borgohain became the first women from Assam to qualify for the Olympics and second boxer from the state to represent the country after Shiva Thapa.
Lovlina is an Indian boxer and bronze medalist at Tokyo Olympics 2020 in the womens' welter weights 64-69 kg category. The moment boxer Lovlina Borgohain secured the second medal for India at the Tokyo Olympics, the sleepy state and country erupted in celebration. With her win & securing bronze medal, Lovlina was set to face off against Busenaz Surmeneli from Turkey but unfortunately she lost the match at semi finals at Tokyo Olympics 2020 but she won the heart of many Indians.

(5). She went to sports Association of India for kick - boxer where eventually Padum Boro (coach of SAI DIMAPUR AND SHILLONG ) found her way to Boxing.
(6). After hard practicing throughout the day she return to her home which 4kms(approx) from her centre with bruises somewhat from practice and somewhat from buggered road.
(7). After so much of struggling she made her positive way to Olympics.

Remembering Shri Rajiv Ratna Gandhi ji on his 77th birth anniversary.

Bharat Ratna, former prime minister shri Rajiv Gandhi, who served as the sixth Prime Minister of India from 1984 to 1989, was born on August 20, 1944.

Few interesting facts about Rajiv Gandhi

• It was under his leadership that the Congress won its largest majority in the Lok Sabha, with a record 411 seats of the 542.

• He was nicknamed Mr Clean because of his fight against corruption.

• At the age of 40, Rajiv Gandhi became the youngest Prime Minister of India. He was sworn-in on October 31, 1984, the same day his mother got assassinated by her own bodyguards.

• Rajiv Gandhi was a pilot before he had joined politics and hardly showed interest in following the footsteps of his mother (Indira Gandhi) and grandfather (Jawaharlal Nehru). Rajiv Gandhi joined Air India in 1970 and worked there till he got into politics in 1980.

• He was posthumously awarded India’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna in 1991, by the Indian government.

• Rajiv Gandhi was also a keen photographer. After his death, his wife, Sonia Gandhi came out with the book “Rajiv’s World: Photographs by Rajiv Gandhi". The book has photographs clicked by Rajiv Gandhi over four decades.
