ATDC is preparing people with special abilities to represent India in the Finland Abilympics International Skill Competition 2027. Winners of Regional Round attended training camp at ATDC Gurgaon from 11-16 May 2026. Worldskill Fashion Technology Expert Dr Gurpreet Kaur, Director ATDC organised a training workshop on the lines of international parameters. The candidates learned Abilympic standards and prepared garments which were evaluated on the criteria laid by Abilympics.
ATDC Principal Dr Babita Sangwan and Trainer Ms Kamlesh trained candidates in garment construction skills.

Certificate Distribution Ceremony organized by ATDC Gurugram for the students of the AMT and SAMT courses.

The ceremony was conducted to award diploma certifications and recognize the successful completion of training programs by AVI students. A total of 46 students from the July 2024 and January 2025 batches successfully completed their training during the direct session.

Joining of Prof (Dr.) Roopak Vasishtha as the Director General & CEO of the Apparel Training and Design Centre (ATDC)

Prof (Dr.) Roopak Vasishtha has joined the prestigious Apparel Training and Design Centre as the Director General & CEO. ATDC is a pioneer institution with more than 100 Centres across the country imparting courses ranging from Certificate/ Diploma to Graduation level in the Apparel sector and has trained more than 4.90 lac students since its inception, thereby providing employment/self-employment opportunities to youth, especially women and supporting for their families. Dr. Vasishtha has 40 years of experience in the field of Human Resources, Education and Skilling. He had earlier been the CEO & DG of AMH SSC, under Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Govt of India and has also worked in various capacities in Automobile and Healthcare sectors. Dr. Vasishtha writes for the various magazines and journals, including the Inner Voice Column of the Hindustan Times.

A heartfelt farewell and warm welcome at ATDC

We bid an affectionate send-off to Dr. Vijay Kumar Mathur, Former DG&CEO, ATDC, whose visionary leadership, unwavering dedication, and immense contributions have significantly strengthened ATDC and the apparel industry.

Welcoming the new incoming DG&CEO, Dr.Roopak Vasishtha, this special occasion marked both gratitude and new beginnings. Dr. Roopak Vasishtha expressed sincere appreciation to Dr. Vijay Kumar Mathur for his remarkable service, commitment, and lasting impact on the organization and the industry.

ATDC HoDs also shared their experiences and extended heartfelt thanks to Dr. Mathur for his guidance, encouragement, and leadership over the years.

In his address, Dr. Vijay Kumar Mathur thanked the leadership team for their continued support, trust, and collaboration throughout his journey.

Wishing Dr. Vijay Kumar Mathur all the very best for the future, and extending our warmest wishes to Dr. Roopak Vasistha as he leads ATDC into a new chapter of growth and excellence.
