The Skill Training in IoT Program for school students, a CSR initiative by Ericsson in collaboration with Telecom Sector Skill Council, aims to build future-ready digital skills among students through hands-on IoT learning, practical exposure, and innovation-led training.

Covering 1,000 students across 10 schools, the project focuses on strengthening foundational awareness of emerging technologies and creating early pathways for youth participation in India’s digital transformation journey. Notably, the project witnessed higher participation and certification among girls, with 559 girls successfully completing the training, marking a significant step towards encouraging greater inclusion and representation of young women in technology and digital skills education.

Glimpses from the Certification Ceremony held on 14th May 2026 at Shri Krishna Inter College, one of the participating schools under the project.

The ceremony celebrated the successful certification of 100 students from Classes 11 & 12 (Science Stream), who completed hands-on IoT training focused on innovation, practical learning, and future-ready digital skills.

The event witnessed the presence of Ericsson leadership representatives - Mr. Amit Kashyap, Company Secretary, and Mr. Arnav Jindal, CSR Manager, along with Lt Gen Kulbhushan H Gawas, PVSM, VSM (Retd), the CEO of TSSC, Senior GM Mr. Gaurav Sharma, and school authorities.

Highlights of the event included the showcase of innovative projects developed by the students during the training and engaging interactions with the beneficiaries, reflecting their enthusiasm, creativity, and learning outcomes.

Empowering young minds with emerging technology skills today is the foundation for building a digitally skilled and innovation-driven India tomorrow.
