“Life began with waking up and loving my mother’s face.” — George Eliot
A Symphony of Love: S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya Celebrates the Eternal Spirit of Motherhood
The campus of S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya was bathed in hues of gratitude and joy as the school community gathered to celebrate Mother’s Day, a tribute to the silent architects of our lives. The event was a magnificent blend of cultural brilliance, spirited competition, and heart-stirring emotions, reflecting the school’s commitment to nurturing strong family bonds.
The morning commenced with the arrival of our esteemed guests of honor, whose presence added grace to the occasion. The school was privileged to welcome:
Chief Guest: Smt. Asha Sharma, President, Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya Society.
Guest of Honour: Dr. Sonu Sharma, Manager, Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya Society.
Special Guest: Ms. Monica Chaudhary, Member, Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya Society.
The dignitaries were received with traditional warmth and floral bouquets by the leadership team: Ms. Arpna Joshi (Principal), Ms. Pinky Shekhawat (Headmistress), and Ms. Nidhi Bhardwaj (Coordinator). In her opening welcome address, Principal Ms. Arpna Joshi spoke eloquently about how a mother’s influence is the “first classroom” a child ever experiences.
The students’ theatrical drama poignantly depicted the daily sacrifices mothers make, while the rhythmic dance sequences celebrated the vibrancy and strength of women.
The celebration transitioned from the stage to the playground of joy, where mothers participated in a series of engaging and light-hearted competitions. The school corridors echoed with laughter during:
Tune & Treasure: A thrilling hunt for hidden gems.
Musical Cups: A fast-paced test of agility and focus.
Bindi Queen: A showcase of grace, where mothers competed for the most creative and traditional adornment.
The pinnacle of the day was the address by the Chief Guest, Smt. Asha Sharma. Her words resonated deeply as she spoke about the spiritual and social significance of a mother’s role. She reminded the students that while the world changes, a mother’s love remains the only “constant north star.” Her beautiful tribute left many in the audience inspired and deeply moved.
As the curtains fell on the celebration, Ms. Nidhi Bhardwaj, Coordinator, delivered the Vote of Thanks. She expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the management for their unwavering support and to the mothers for their enthusiastic participation, which transformed the event into a grand success.
The day stood as a beautiful reminder that while we celebrate Mother’s Day once a year, the essence of a mother’s love is a lifelong celebration.
