" Little Steps to New Dreams"🎓 S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya
On 21st February 2026, S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya organized a joyful graduation ceremony titled “Little Steps to New Dreams” to celebrate the UKG students moving ahead in their academic journey.
The event was beautifully prepared by all pre-primary students. Their enthusiasm made the program lively and memorable.
A special highlight of the event was a small and meaningful skit presented by the students, showcasing their journey as pre-primary kids. The performance was adorable and heart-touching.
The graduation ceremony was the most awaited moment. The UKG students, dressed in graduation gowns and caps, were called on stage one by one and honored by our chief guest Smt Asha Sharma ma'am and our guest of honor Dr. Sonu Sharma ma'am. The proud smiles on their faces and the applause from the audience created a beautiful atmosphere.
The event was well-organized under the guidance of Principal Ma'am- Ms.Arpna Joshi, Headmistress Ma’am-Ms.Pinky Shekhawat and coordinator Ma'am-Ms.Nidhi Bhardwaj.
Overall, the event was great, joyful, and a memorable celebration of the students.

On 31st January 2026, 37 students of Class 9 from our school visited the 53rd Rajya Stariya Bal Vaigyanik Pradarshni organised at SCERT, Gurugram, based on the theme “STEM for Viksit and Atmanirbhar Bharat.” The exhibition showcased innovative scientific models and projects by students from across Haryana.

Haryana Education Minister Shri Mahipal Dhanda, along with Hon’ble Minister Rao Narbir Singh and Joint Director SCERT Mr. Sunil Bajaj, graced the occasion and encouraged young innovators. Our students explored various exhibits, interacted with participants, and gained valuable insights into science and innovation. The visit was inspiring and enriched students’ scientific curiosity and creativity.

Embracing New Beginnings: A Farewell to Class XII

SDAV's farewell ceremony for Class XII students was a memorable event themed "यह अंत नहीं, आरंभ है" (This is not the end, it's a beginning). The celebration honored students' achievements and marked the transition to new beginnings.

Chief Guest, Smt. Asha Sharma Ma'am, President of SDAV, graced the occasion. Special titles conferred: SDAV Technophile (Yuvraj XII-B), SDAV Grand Master (Anshul Thakran XII-A), SDAV Orator (Maanya XII-A).

Students showcased their talents through vibrant dance and skit performances, highlighting their creativity and confidence. Head Girl Priyanshi shared inspiring words, emphasizing leadership and responsibility. The Passing the Legacy ceremony symbolized the transfer of values to incoming leaders.

Smt. Asha Sharma Ma'am encouraged students to strive for excellence, sharing valuable insights. She appreciated the students' dedication and wished them success in their future endeavors. Principal Ma'am extended a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to the guests and students for making the event memorable.

The event concluded on a hopeful note, reminding students they'll always be part of SDAV. With heavy hearts and hopeful smiles, the ceremony bid farewell to Class XII, etching memories to cherish forever.

The school observed Martyrs' Day on January 30, 2026, to pay tribute to the ultimate sacrifice of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of the Nation. The event was marked by various performances, including a skit, poem recitation, and a thought-provoking speech, all highlighting the significance of Gandhiji's life and teachings.
The event began with the students presenting a poignant skit depicting Gandhiji's life and his struggle for India's freedom. This was followed by a poem recitation, which echoed the sentiments of the nation on this solemn day. The speech delivered by a student emphasized the importance of following the path of non-violence and truth, as advocated by Mahatma Gandhi.
Addressing the students, Principal Ma'am urged them to imbibe the values of non-violence, truth, and compassion, as exemplified by Gandhiji. She encouraged the students to strive for excellence and contribute to the nation's progress, following the noble ideals of Mahatma Gandhi.
The event was a fitting tribute to the legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, and it served as a reminder to the students of the importance of upholding the values of truth, non-violence, and sacrifice.

“Atmanirbhar Bharat: From Resolve to Achievement – The Glory Chronicle of Republic Day Celebration”

The 77th Republic Day Celebration was held at S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya on 26-01-2026 under the inspiring theme “आत्मनिर्भर भारत” (Atmanirbhar Bharat), honoring the spirit of self-reliance and national pride. The ceremony began with a solemn Tilak Ceremony, followed by the majestic Flag Unfurling accompanied by the National Anthem, and a disciplined March Past that showcased the students' unity and patriotism.

The esteemed Chief Guest, Smt. Asha Sharma Ma'am, President of SDAV Society, was welcomed with reverence. Her Words of Wisdom infused the audience with motivation and guidance, inspiring the students to embrace the values of nation-building and self-reliance.

The cultural program featured a vibrant Dance Drama titled *“Aatmanirbhar Bharat- Sankalp se Siddhi ki Or”*, comprising five exquisite performances – Cosmic Hands Dance, Rhythm of the Fields, Little Learners Dance, Rise of the Shakti, and Robotics Impulse Dance – that celebrated artistic talent and innovation. Additionally, the four houses represented the North, South, West, and East zones through spectacular Tableaus, each portraying the respective zone's rich culture, iconic landmarks, and traditional cuisine, thereby enriching the cultural mosaic of the event.

The celebration culminated in a dazzling Grand Finale, a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, and the rendition of the National Anthem, leaving all attendees inspired by the values of unity, self-reliance, and patriotism.

Youth Parliament Session 2025-26

S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya conducted a momentous Youth Parliament Session on 24th January 2026, graced by the illustrious presence of Smt. Asha Sharma, President of SDAV Society, and Mrs. Raj Sanga, Vice President of SDAV, as our Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively This august gathering aimed to immerse students in the intricacies of parliamentary proceedings, fostering a deeper understanding of democratic ethos and governance.

The session commenced with a ceremonial welcome and floral tribute. Prachi, as the Speaker, demonstrated exemplary leadership, ensuring the smooth conduct of proceedings. The central debate revolved around the theme “Uniform Civil Code (UCC)”, with participants presenting cogent arguments.

Akansha Beniwal, portraying Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi, eloquently articulated concerns regarding social diversity and the imperative of gradual reform. Conversely, Khushi, assuming the role of Prime Minister Modi, robustly defended the government's stance, underscoring the principles of equality and national unity. Home Minister Nish*ta provided insightful perspectives on security and administrative facets, enriching the discourse.

The session was marked by intellectual rigor, respect, and thought-provoking insights, epitomizing the spirit of parliamentary proceedings. The Chief Guests lauded the participants, inspiring the students to continue their engagement in civic life. The Youth Parliament Session concluded on a high note, achieving its objective of nurturing leadership, critical thinking, and effective communication among students.

👨🏼‍💻Teachers’ Professional Development Workshops

Under the esteemed leadership of Smt. Asha Sharma Ma’am, President, S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya, a series of professional development workshops were organised in January 2026 to enhance pedagogical competence and professional awareness. The programmes were attended by the Principal, Headmistress, Primary In-charge, and teaching faculty.

The workshop “A.I. Classroom: Innovative Technology,” conducted on 13 January 2026 by Mr. Manvendra Shukla, introduced teachers to the effective integration of Artificial Intelligence for innovative and student-centric classroom practices. On 14 January 2026, Ms. Anuradha conducted a session on POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment), sensitising participants to legal provisions, ethical responsibilities, and the importance of a safe and inclusive workplace.

The series concluded on 15 January 2026 with Dr. Poornima Upadhyay’s session on “21st Century Skills: Learning Beyond Classrooms,” which highlighted critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and experiential learning as essential components of holistic education.

Collectively, these workshops enriched instructional practices, strengthened professional ethics, and equipped educators to address the evolving demands of contemporary education.

S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya, Sec 47 hosted the Intra Society Chess Championship on December 29, 2025! 🎉 36 talented students from three branches of SD Adarsh Vidyalaya Society showcased their remarkable patience, team spirit, and sportsmanship.

Under the guidance of Smt Asha Sharma, President Sanatan Dharam Vidyalaya Society, the event was a huge success. Kudos to the organizers, Mr Tanmay Chaudhary and Dr Malvika Chaudhary, for putting together an exciting tournament.

Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya orchestrated its Annual Award Function 2025 with resplendent grandeur and fervor on 27th December, aptly encapsulating the ethos of LE-TRIOMPHE – The Victory. The overarching theme, “From Heights to Horizons,” epitomized the institution's unwavering commitment to nurturing aspiration, tenacity, and holistic excellence amongst its pupils. The proceedings were felicitously presided over by Smt. Asha Sharma Ma’am, President of the Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya Society, whose astute leadership perennially galvanizes the scholastic community.

The illustrious congregation was graced by the venerated presence of Mr. Ravinder Yadav, Additional Commissioner and distinguished alumnus, as Chief Guest, and Dr. Sonu Sharma Ma’am, Manager of SDAV Society, as Guest of Honour, alongside Mrs. Ritu Sharma, General Manager, Haryana Roadways Engineering Corporation, as Esteemed Guest.

Principal Mrs Arpna Joshi unveiled the Annual Report, highlighting scholastic triumphs and progress.

The Prize Distribution Ceremony honoured students for academic excellence and attendance. Special accolades included Creative Star of the Year, Best in Sports, and the Shashi Prabha Scholarship for meritorious girl students.

The event concluded with inspirational Words of Wisdom from the Chief Guest.

🎄Christmas Celebration S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya

S. D. Adarsh Vidyalaya celebrated Christmas with great enthusiasm and festive spirit on 24 December 2025, creating an atmosphere of joy, harmony, and togetherness on the school campus. The celebration was organized under the able guidance of Smt. Asha Sharma Ma’am President Sanatan Dharam Adarsh Vidyalaya.
The programme commenced with a prayer seeking the blessings of the Almighty, which filled the surroundings with peace and devotion. Students captivated the audience with a variety of cultural performances, including melodious Christmas carols, graceful dances, and meaningful skits highlighting the values of love, kindness, and sharing.
A beautifully enacted short play depicting the birth of Lord Jesus Christ was the highlight of the event and received widespread appreciation. Adding to the festive cheer, Santa Claus made a delightful appearance and distributed chocolates, spreading smiles among the students.
Addressing the gathering, Principal Ms. Arpna Joshi emphasized the importance of celebrating festivals together to promote unity, harmony, and mutual respect.
The celebration concluded on a joyful note, leaving everyone with cherished memories and the true spirit of Christmas.

S.D. Adarsh Vidyalaya, sec-47, Gurugram, celebrated its Annual Sports Meet 2025 – “Lakshay: Utho, Bhago, Jeeto” on 8th November 2025 with great zeal and enthusiasm. The school ground was beautifully decorated, radiating the true spirit of unity, discipline, and sportsmanship.
The event began with the Green Welcome of Chief Guest Ms. Aditi Chauhan, renowned footballer, along with President Smt. Asha Sharma and Guest of Honour Dr. Sonu Sharma. The Principal Ma’am warmly welcomed the dignitaries and highlighted the vital role of sports in shaping character and confidence.
The celebration included the Unfurling of the School Flag, March Past, Torch Lighting, and Oath Ceremony, followed by a soulful Ganesha Vandana. Students from all classes participated enthusiastically in various track events, fun races, yoga, martial arts, and aerobics displays, showcasing talent, teamwork, and determination.
Adding more excitement, parents participated in activities like Tug of War and a 200-metre Race, spreading joy and laughter all around. The Chief Guest encouraged students to pursue excellence in every field, and winners were honored during the Prize Distribution Ceremonies.
Kumaon House emerged as the Overall Champion of the Sports Meet, securing the highest points across various events.
The event concluded with a vibrant Grand Finale Dance and a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by Mr. Atul, marking the end of Lakshay 2025 — a day brimming with enthusiasm, energy, and the true spirit of sportsmanship.
