Rainwater harvesting is a simple and sustainable approach to conserve water by collecting and storing rainwater for future use or groundwater recharge. Proper planning, installation, and maintenance of rainwater harvesting systems can improve water availability and reduce dependence on groundwater sources.
By making better use of rainfall, rainwater harvesting supports agriculture, reduces water stress, and promotes long-term water security for communities.

Did you know? Just 1 mm of rainfall on 1 square metre of catchment area can potentially provide about 1 litre of water, making even small amounts of rainfall valuable when properly harvested.
