India has over 14.72 lakh schools. Most have a library that's locked, dusty, and forgotten. That's changing. NEP 2020 has put reading at the heart of every classroom and schools across the country are now actively seeking solutions. The shift has begun, and we are happy to be contributing to enabling digital libraries across schools of India and building a generation of readers. We’ve put devices in classrooms and assumed digital learning will follow. But what we’ve missed is this - teachers don’t need devices, they need direction.

This government school science teacher from Kolar, Karnataka didn't just log in - she showed up every single day for an entire quarter, spending close to an hour per session, and worked through every topic the same disciplined way: video lesson → activity → practice → test. Not because someone mandated it. But because the content gave her a clear teaching pathway - one that fit naturally into how she already teaches.

A classroom can have devices, internet, and even content - yet still leave learning untouched. Because the real question is not whether technology has reached students, but whether learning has. Implemented with iDream Education and launched in the presence of Shri Arvind Kejriwal & Smt. Atishi from Aam Aadmi Party. This effort not only enables meaningful, curriculum-aligned digital learning for students, but also brings into sharp focus the gaps we, as an ecosystem, still need to address - moving beyond access to actual learning outcomes.

Data from smart class usage in schools of Pauri Garhwal, Uttarakhand shows what truly effective EdTech implementation looks like: not classrooms dazzled by technology, but teachers making precise, purposeful choices with it - navigating entire chapters in minutes, anchoring revision for Classes 9 & 10, and turning a smart board into the most powerful exam-prep tool in the room.

The question for every policymaker, CSR funder, and school leader isn't whether smart classrooms work. It's whether the teachers inside them have been trained well enough to make them work like this.
