High energy.

So you plan for movement.
Games.
Stations.
Group work.

You build hooks.
Transitions.
Activities that look good from the doorway.

You keep the pace up.
You keep the noise productive.
You keep the room moving.

Meanwhile the content gets thinner.
The thinking gets lighter.
The time to actually teach gets shorter.

But the class looks busy.
So it counts.

And eventually someone says it out loud.
“They were really engaged today.”

Not because they learned something.
