I started Mosaics and Me in 2011, after having learnt the art from Barbara Coote at the Kur-ring-gai Art Centre In Sydney, Australia. Upon returning to my home country, I decided to embark on my own to share my passion with like minded people. Over the years, Mosaics and Me has taught many dults and children some of who have are now actively engaged in creating their own mosaic pieces. Through a r
ange of different classes and courses, all levels of skills, experience, age, lifestyles and artistic talents are catered to. You can choose from weekday morning classes, workshops, one to one sessions, Virtual classes and Mosaic Art Courses for students of High School and Universities. I take pleasure in passing on my knowledge from the nitty gritty of the art to a wide range materials, basic to advanced techniques, tools, colours and grouting, design techniques from inception to ex*****on, sub strata and finishing. Projects like table tops, wall murals, recycling, reusing, terracotta bowls, trays, musical instruments, coasters, large mirrors are some of the them. At Mosaics and Me, learning is both fun and intense. Students are encouraged to learn and apply the correct technique. Mosaics and Me is proud to have participated in fundraisers abd exhibitions, not only popularising the art, but also help raise funds assisting efforts by members of our community. Under this banner, I also had my first Solo Exhibition in October 2012, helping bring an awareness about this art. It was a great experience and one I am forever thankful for as it opened up exciting new opportunities to make my foundations as an artist and teacher much stronger.
'Pieceful Expressions' was a a first of its kind student exhibition in Gurgaon. Held in 2018, it showcased all the wonderful wotk done during the classes. While Mosaics and Me has really grown and as an enthusiast of this ancient art, I also have a separate dedication to my work, commissions and experiments with the art, its techniques and materials. Moora Moora Mosaics was launched in 2017 on Facebook and Instagram, the name inspired by the native language of Australia. Mosaics and Me is proud to have put this beautiful art out there for everyone to see, admire and learn. Feel free to get in touch for more information. Beginners and experienced artists are welcome. to learn something new and share their passion with fellow students.
As a mosaic artist, I enjoy passing on my experience in teaching mosaics to my students. I have been teaching for over 10 years. All my students are good learners with varied skill levels.
As a teacher and artist, it is great to see my students showing interest and growing in their work. And it is also lovely to hear a word or two of appreciation for all the effort and love I put in.
But unfortunately, it hasnt been so and today I am sharing it with all of you.
It is rather sad that some of my students have been dishonest and joined my classes with an ulterior motive.
For starters, they dindt have the courage to give credit where due. After all that they have learnt from me , they say they learnt in 'UK' or 'Delhi University' or anything else which is hurtful and disappointing.
They have not only copied my designs and cut outs, and called them their own, these women have blatantly lied saying "i know nothing about social media" and parallely, run FB and Insta accounts selling what they were making in my class, posting pictures from my account with no permission and credit. All this behind my back.
One of these women ordered mosaic pieces from me and put her own name on it and passed them on to friends and family.
The women I am talking about have learnt from me for a good 2 years, lying all along and I totally trusted them. They were my students from 2013 to 2018 and their work is shared in my older posts from these years.
Few others have even gone ahead and shared their first mosaic pieces made here in my class, on various mosaic groups saying they are self taught.
Not going to name anyone but I hope they read this and dont lie to others.
I enjoy teaching. But such experiences are not pleasant. Be honest. You want to learn and then make your own mosaics, share it with everyone here in my class. You will be wished well.
Meanwhile, follow Moora Moora for all my lovely mosaic work ππ.

Making a mosaic is not as easy as it looks, as rightly pointed out by one of my students recently.
Sharing pictures from one of my ongoing projects. Just to get those rectangular, longish pieces to make the maze, I have spent hours cutting glass tiles into 3rds or more and further cuts to keep the size roughly the same. Loads of nibbling, tiles wasted, good pieces gone bad and so on.
And that is where I find my joy and satisfaction π. There is no short cut to making a good mosaic.
And Beads, they are so cute π₯°. Tiny, rolling about, shiny, long ones and round ones π.
So threaded a few to go around the neck of the bottle.
And bought nothing new to make this bottle π.
