On 13th August, St. Xavier’s High School, Sector 49, Gurugram came alive with the spirit of patriotism and pride as we celebrated Independence Day with great fervour. 🇮🇳

The celebrations were honoured by the presence of our esteemed Chief Guest, Dr. Kiran Bedi, whose inspiring presence and words encouraged our young Xaverians to embrace the values of courage, integrity, discipline and service to the nation.

Through vibrant performances, patriotic presentations and heartfelt tributes to our nation’s heroes, our students beautifully celebrated the spirit of India.

As we look towards a stronger and brighter future, may our young minds continue to carry forward the ideals of freedom, responsibility and nation-building.

Celebrating the Spirit of Freedom 🇮🇳

St. Xavier’s High School, Sector 49, Gurugram, celebrated Independence Day with patriotic fervour and pride in the gracious presence of Dr. Kiran Bedi, former IPS officer and former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, as the Chief Guest.

From the vibrant cultural presentation to the soulful performances captivating the audience with its powerful message on freedom, responsible citizenship , nation-building and beautifully echoing the patriotic fervour.

Dr. Bedi inspired our young Xavierians to make purposeful choices, embrace discipline and remain connected to their roots.

The Director Mr. Mohit Sachdeva encouraged students to understand and imbibe the true essence of Vande Mataram,
He expressed his appreciation for Dr. Kiran Bedi, describing her not merely as an inspiration but as a leader who has created a path for the youth to follow through her exemplary life and service to the nation.

while the Director Principal Mrs. Ritu Mehta urged them to contribute meaningfully towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat.

हिंदी वाक्-अभिव्यक्ति प्रतियोगिता
“भारत के रंग, राज्यों के संग”
भारत विविधताओं से भरा एक अद्भुत देश है। यहाँ अलग-अलग भाषाएँ, संस्कृतियाँ, परंपराएँ, वेशभूषाएँ, त्योहार और खान-पान होते हुए भी हम सभी एकता के सूत्र में बंधे हैं। इसी भावना को जागृत करने तथा विद्यार्थियों में देशप्रेम, आत्मविश्वास, जिज्ञासा और अपनी समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक विरासत के प्रति सम्मान विकसित करने के उद्देश्य से कक्षा 2 के विद्यार्थियों के लिए “भारत के रंग, राज्यों के संग” विषय पर हिंदी वाक्-अभिव्यक्ति प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया।
इस प्रतियोगिता में नन्हे-मुन्ने विद्यार्थियों ने भारत के विभिन्न राज्यों का प्रतिनिधित्व करते हुए उनकी विशेषताओं को बड़े उत्साह और आत्मविश्वास के साथ प्रस्तुत किया। विद्यार्थियों ने पारंपरिक वेशभूषा धारण कर अपने-अपने राज्य की संस्कृति एवं परंपराओं, भाषा, पारंपरिक पहनावे, प्रसिद्ध व्यंजनों तथा प्रमुख त्योहारों के बारे में हिंदी में सुंदर एवं प्रभावशाली ढंग से अपने विचार व्यक्त किए।
रंग-बिरंगी वेशभूषाओं और विविध राज्यों की झलक ने पूरे वातावरण को जीवंत एवं मनमोहक बना दिया। विद्यार्थियों की प्रस्तुतियों ने यह संदेश दिया कि हमारी अलग-अलग पहचान ही भारत की सबसे बड़ी खूबसूरती है।
इस गतिविधि ने विद्यार्थियों में भाषा कौशल, मंच पर बोलने का आत्मविश्वास, प्रस्तुतीकरण क्षमता तथा भारतीय संस्कृति के प्रति गौरव की भावना को बढ़ावा दिया।
यह आयोजन न केवल एक प्रतियोगिता रहा, बल्कि भारत की “अनेकता में एकता” की भावना को अनुभव करने और अपनी सांस्कृतिक विरासत को जानने का एक आनंददायक अवसर भी बना।

✨ XAVENIUM 2026 | Through the Realms of Ancient Mythology ✨

On 8th August 2026, St. Xavier’s High School, Sector 49, Gurugram, came alive with stories, imagination, and the timeless magic of mythology at our Annual Inter-School Fest – Xavenium 2026! 🏛️🌟

With the theme “Through the Realms of Ancient Mythology,” the fest took young minds on an extraordinary journey across Indian, Greek, Roman, Egyptian, Chinese and other global mythologies, bringing legendary stories and fascinating characters to life. 🌍✨

With participation from 20+ schools and students from KG to Grade V, the day was filled with storytelling, dance, drama, art, quizzes, costume parades, mask-making and creative presentations. Every event was a celebration of creativity, confidence, communication, collaboration and artistic expression. 🎭🎨

The celebrations commenced with the ceremonial lamp lighting by our esteemed Director-Principal, Ms. Ritu Mehta, along with our distinguished dignitaries, followed by the felicitation of our accomplished panel of judges whose presence and encouragement added immense value to the competitions. 🪔

And then came the moment everyone had been waiting for—the declaration of results! 🏆

A huge congratulations to St. Xavier’s High School, Sector 81, for being crowned the Overall Winner of Xavenium 2026, amidst thunderous applause and immense pride. 👏✨

As the day concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks, the School Song and the National Anthem, one thought stayed with us:
