दीपावली कैसे मनाएं
पौराणिक कथा है कि लक्ष्मी जी समुंद्र मंथन से प्रकट हुई थी और उनके शरीर से सुगंघ निकल रही थी जब देवी लक्ष्मी जी विष्णु जी के सम्मुख आई तो उनके हाथों से स्वर्ण मुद्राएं बरस रही थी यह देख विषय जी प्रसन्न हो कर बोले कि देवी सम्पूर्ण पृथ्वी पर तुम्हारी पूजा होगी तभी से दीपावली पर धन लक्ष्मी कि पूजा होती है
विवाहित स्त्रियों द्वारा अपने नाम के पहले लगाने वाला शब्द श्रीमती का अर्थ भी लक्ष्मी है
लक्ष्मी का स्वरुप गौ माता में भी समाहित है श्रीसूक्त के अनुसार गोबर पृथ्वी कि सुगंध है जो पृथ्वी कि उपजाऊ भी बनाता है देव स्वरुप कि उत्पत्ति भी इसी से होती है
दीपावली का भोग: लक्ष्मी जी को चावल से बनी खाद्य सामग्री व् सफ़ेद चीज़े अत्यंत प्रिय है जैसे खील-बताशे, सफ़ेद मिठाई, मखाना विशेषकर प्रिय है क्योकि इसकी उत्पत्ति समुद्र मंथन के समय उन्ही के साथ हुई थी . जल में उत्पन्न होने के कारण सिंघाड़ा उन्हें प्रिय है इसका भोग भी अवश्य लगाना चाहिए विष्णु जी को प्रिय बेसन कि मिठाई विष्णुप्रिय लक्ष्मी जी को भी बहुत प्रिय है इसके साथ ही नारियल और मीठा पान भी भोग अर्पित करना शुभ माना जाता है
दीप महोत्सव का प्रारम्भ धनतेरस को 13 दीयों से और नरका चौदस को 14 दीयों से तत्पश्चात दिवाली को 15 दीयों को अवश्य प्रज्वलित किया जाता है अन्नकूट व् भाईदूज को क्रमश: 14 व 13 दिए प्रज्वलित करने का विधान है
सरस्वती देवी का चित्र क्यों: सरस्वती देवी का चित्र दिवाली कि पूजा में पूजित करना आवश्यक है क्योंकि अपार लक्ष्मी अनियंत्रित न हो जाये इसलिए देवी सरस्वती कि उपस्थिति आवश्यक होती है लक्ष्मी पूजा में गणेश जी चूकि प्रथम पूजित देव है तथा निर्विघ्न कार्य पूर्ण हो इसलिए गणेश जी कि उपस्थिति भी आवश्यक है
आजकल बाज़ारों में विभिन्न प्रकार कि धातु, प्लास्टिक व अन्य चीजो से बनी फ्रेम अथवा बॉक्स में रखी मूर्तियां प्रचलित है परंतु कागज़ पर हाथ से बनाये गए रंगीन चित्र सर्वश्रेष्ठ होते है पूजन के पश्चात् ये चित्र मंत्र स्वरुप हो जाता है जिसे तिजोरी में रखना श्रेष्ठ होता है
लक्ष्मी जी के वस्त्र लाल रंग के होने चाहिए खड़ी लक्ष्मी कि पूजा न करें दीपावली पूजन में लाल रंग के कपडे पर देवी को बैठाना चाहिए काला व नीला सर्वथा वर्जित है लक्ष्मी पूजा के लिए गुलाबी रंग का कमल सर्वश्रेष्ठ है इसके अभाव में लाल गुलाब जैसे किसी भी सुगन्धित फूल लिए जा सकते है गृह सज्जा में गैंदे के फूलों का प्रयोग किया जा सकता है
तीव्र ध्वनि वाले पटाखों का प्रयोग नहीं करना चाहिए: लक्ष्मी जी शांति प्रिय है जब नृसिंह अवतार में भगवन विष्णु ने दहाड़ भरी थी तो लक्ष्मी जी अचंभित हो गयी थी तब भक्त प्रहलाद ने उन्हें शांत किया था इसलिये पूजन के पश्चात् लक्ष्मी जी के स्वागत में आतिशबाज़ी कि प्रथा है जो देखने में सुंदर व व ध्वनि कर्णप्रिय हो जैसे फूलझड़ी अनार चकरी आदि
गृहस्थ के लिए शाम को लक्ष्मी पूजा श्रेष्ठ होती है सात्विक साधक के लिये रात्रि व तांत्रिक साधक को देर रात्रि जिसे महानिशीथ काल कहते है

श्री हनुमान का विवाह

हनुमान जी को बाल ब्रह्मचारी माना जाता है इसलिए हनुमान जी लंगोट धारण किए हर मंदिर और तस्वीरों में अकेले दिखते हैं। कभी भी अन्य देवताओं की तरह हनुमान जी को पत्नी के साथ नहीं देखा होगा। लेकिन अगर आप हनुमान के साथ उनकी पत्नी को देखना चाहते हैं तो आपको आंध्रप्रदेश जाना होगा।आंध्रप्रदेश के खम्मम जिले में हनुमान जी का एक प्राचीन मंदिर है। इस मंदिर में हनुमान जीके साथ उनकी पत्नी के भी दर्शन प्राप्त होते हैं। यह मंदिर इकलौता गवाह है हनुमान जी के विवाह का। ऎसी मान्यता है कि हनुमान जी जब अपने गुरु सूर्य देव से शिक्षा प्राप्त कर रहे थे। उस दौरान एक विद्या जिसे सिर्फ विवाहित सीख सकते थे, के लिये, सूर्य देव ने हनुमान जी के सामने शर्त रख दी कि अब आगे कि शिक्षा तभी प्राप्त कर सकते हो जब तुम विवाह कर लो।ऎसे में आजीवन ब्रह्मचारी रहने का प्राण ले चुके हनुमान जी के लिए दुविधा की स्थिति उत्पन्न हो गई। शिष्य को दुविधा में देखकर सूर्य देव ने हनुमान जी से कहा कि तुम मेरी पुत्री सुवर्चला से विवाह कर लो। सुवर्चला तपस्विनी थी। हनुमान जी से विवाह के बाद सुवर्चला वापस तपस्या में लीन हो गई। इस तरह हनुमान जी ने विवाह की शर्त पूरी कर ली और ब्रह्मचारी रहने का व्रत भी कायम रहा। हनुमान जी के विवाह का उल्लेख पराशर संहिता में भी किया गया है।मान्यता है कि हनुमान जी के इस मंदिर में आकर जो दंपत्ति हनुमान और उनकी पत्नी के दर्शन करते हैं उनके वैवाहिक जीवन में प्रेम और आपसी तालमेल बना रहता है। वैवाहिक जीवन में चल रही परेशानियों से मुक्ति दिलाते हैं विवाहित हनुमान जी।

Some Useful tips for home Mandir.
Fixed mandir should be avoided in home.
Avoid keeping big idols/statues of God in Pooja room.
Do not keep your heavenly abode relatives pictures along with God’s.
Keeping mandir in kitchen brings bad luck to inmates.
Mandir should not be kept in bed room.
Do not keep mandir directly on floor. It should be elevated or on plate form that while performing pooja eye level should match the God’s face.
Ideally house mandir be placed or hang in North East, East directions.
Bell shown in picture should not be in home mandir rather it should be covered from top.

Why coconut and banana are offered to all Gods/Goddess
Coconut and banana are the only two fruits which are considered to be the Sacred fruits. All other fruits are considered tainted fruits (partially eaten) meaning other fruits have seeds and which have the capacity to reproduce themselves.
But in case of coconut if you eat coconut and throw outer shell it will not grow out of it. And same way banana will also not grow as these do not have seeds in it. So these two fruits are offered to all gods and goddesses besides their liking fruits of respective Gods

Why coconut is broken when offered to God while there is tradition that no cut fruit is offered to God ?
The outer shell of coconut is the Ahankara or ego, which one has to break symbolizes that devotee has to break his ego. Once the ego is shed the mind will be as pure as the white tender coconut inside. The Bhava or Bhakti will pour like the sweet water in it. The 3 eyes on the top they explain as Satwa, Rajas and Tamas or past, Present and Future or Sthoola, Sookshma and Karan or body etc.

Take Blessings of Father whenever you move out from house for any work
Offer Water to Sun
Don’t Bribe Govt. Officials
Avoid taking donations from others
Wash your hands before Lunch
Do not avoid paying Govt. Taxes
Take care of your Eyes and Hair

IS SOUTH FACING HOUSE REALLY BAD ?
Vastu refers to the directional and architectural science, which is based on the energy from different directions and sources. As per Vaastu a good building or office springs from the right construction whatever facing it is of South facing houses are always not bad
However due care should be taken while planning construction or designing a South facing house because magnetic forces of the earth flows from North Pole and to be received by the South Pole, this plot brings success for every effort, if built according to Vaastu Principles. South facing plots are propitious as they are at the receiving end of Magnetic Forces. These forces create health and wealthy vibrations and ensure prosperity to the inmates of South facing plots.
As this is the direction of Yamraj who is responsible to God Shiva the Destroyer. Yamraj is the judge for the good (punya) and bad (sins) deeds of all human beings.
It Is a misconception that South facing house is not acceptable in vaastu so gives very bad results.
If not constructed as per vaastu principles may lead to irritation and anger and lack of love and cooperation among inmates. May also cause heavy monetary losses and fatal to owner.
