Still processing this moment.

I recently got the chance to jam with the legendary Steve Vai.

As a guitarist, this is one of those experiences that feels almost surreal. His musicality, creativity, and stage presence are on another level.

Moments like this remind me why I fell in love with music in the first place.

Meeting Mateus Asato was one of those moments that stayed with me!!!

I’ve always admired his playing — that unreal, butter-smooth flow, the effortlessness, the way every note feels intentional. When he speaks through his instrument, he turns into an absolute monster. Unstoppable. Inimitable.

But what inspired me even more was his humility. He listens. Really listens. When others play, he gives them his full attention. No ego. No need to dominate the room. Just presence and respect.

That’s what clicked for me:
Hone your craft until you’re undeniable.
Become so sharp in your art that you’re not intimidated by anyone.
Be a monster at what you do — but stay humble enough to honor the people around you.

Power and humility can coexist. And that’s a lesson I won’t forget !
