Educational Visit to Nearby Nursery and Herbal Park, Sohna
Students of **Grades 6 and 7** visited a nearby nursery and **Herbal Park, Sohna**, as part of an experiential learning activity under the **Vocational Education component introduced by CBSE**. The activity aimed to develop practical skills, awareness, and respect for nature among students.
During the visit, students explored a variety of plants and learned about their **different characteristics, identification, growth requirements, and uses**. They also observed various gardening practices and gained hands-on knowledge about the tools and equipment commonly used by a **Mali (gardener)**.
The students were introduced to different gardening tools and their uses, along with basic techniques related to **plant care, watering, planting, pruning, soil preparation, and maintenance of plants**.
The visit provided students with an enriching opportunity to connect classroom learning with real-life experiences. It helped them understand the importance of **plants, herbal gardens, environmental conservation, and vocational skills**, while encouraging them to develop practical knowledge and a sense of responsibility towards nature.
