Quality does not fail at one point in the health supply chain. It can be influenced by the decisions, oversight, coordination and accountability of many different stakeholders.

But who is responsible for what? What is the relationship between supply chain stakeholders and regulatory stakeholders? And what role can the African Medicines Agency play in strengthening quality assurance across the continent?

Join us for the third in the Managing Quality of Health Products Throughout the Supply Chain series, Stakeholders and Regulatory Environment: Gaps, Progress, and the Role of AMA.

This session will bring together health supply chain and regulatory professionals to explore:

• The roles and responsibilities of key stakeholders across the pharmaceutical supply chain
• Progress and persistent gaps in regulatory systems
• How regulatory oversight connects with procurement, distribution and quality assurance
• The mandate and evolving role of the African Medicines Agency
• Practical actions professionals can take within existing regulatory systems

What does it mean to be recognised as a health supply chain worker?

For many workers, the answer goes beyond a job title. It is about having the knowledge, and experience to demonstrate that you can lead and strengthen health supply chains.

Yet, in many health systems, supply chain responsibilities are still treated as an additional function rather than a professional discipline with its own career pathways and recognition.

Professional recognition matters because years of experience alone can’t be the only way to demonstrate capability.

At Bee Skilled, we are working towards a future where health workers can showcase recognition for their supply chain capabilities through structured learning and credentialling.

In our latest , Dr. Andrew Brown, explores why professional recognition matters and what it means for the future of health supply chain careers.

Behind every humanitarian response is a supply chain professional.

On World Humanitarian Day, we recognise the people working behind the scenes to ensure communities affected by crises can access medicines, health products and essential supplies when they need them most.

- They forecast demand.
- They manage procurement.
- They coordinate supplies.
- They protect quality.
- They solve problems when systems are under pressure.

Their work is critical, yet often goes unseen.

So, there is an important question worth asking: Are we giving these professionals enough opportunities to build, demonstrate and gain recognition for the capabilities their work demands?

Humanitarian health response depends not only on resources and systems, but on the people who make those systems work.

This is why professional development and recognition matter.

The Supply Chain Practitioner Credential is designed to help health supply chain professionals strengthen their capabilities and work towards recognised professional standing at the Practitioner level.

Because the work behind humanitarian response matters. And, so do the people who make that work possible.

On , we recognise them.

Where are you on the health supply chain career pathway?

A career in health supply chain is about more than the number of years you have worked. As your responsibilities grow, so do your skills, your decision-making and the level of accountability you take on.

But there is another question worth asking: Is your professional recognition keeping pace with your experience?

The pathway from Associate → Practitioner → Specialist → Professional → Leader reflects how a health supply chain career can develop as responsibilities, capabilities and decision-making grow.

For professionals moving towards the Practitioner level, building the right skills and being able to demonstrate them becomes increasingly important.

This is where the Supply Chain Practitioner Credential comes in.

Bee Skilled is introducing a professional credential designed specifically for health supply chain practitioners. It brings structured professional development and professional recognition together as part of a clear career pathway.

It is not about replacing the experience you already have.

It is about building on that experience, strengthening your capabilities and gaining recognition for what you can do. Because the work you do everyday matters.

So does being able to demonstrate the knowledge, skills and capability behind it.

A new pathway for health supply chain professionals is coming soon.

Stay connected.

A New Era for Health Supply Chain Professionals

Health supply chains are becoming more complex. And the expectations placed on the professionals managing them are evolving too.

Experience will always matter. But as the profession grows, career progression increasingly depends on more than years spent doing the work. Professionals need opportunities to demonstrate their capabilities, strengthen relevant competencies and gain recognised professional standing.

At Bee Skilled, we believe the health supply chain workforce deserves a clearer pathway from experience and learning to professional recognition and career progression.

That is why we are preparing to introduce a first-of-its-kind professional credential designed specifically for health supply chain practitioners.

It is designed to help professionals move beyond individual courses and work towards recognised professional certification and designation.

This is more than another certificate.

It is about recognising the expertise professionals are building every day and creating a stronger foundation for where their careers can go next.

A new pathway for health supply chain professionals is coming.
