🌱 Empowering Farmers. Building a Sustainable Future.
As part of , SGT University, in collaboration with KVK Rewari and IFFCO Haryana, organized a Farmer Awareness Programme in Khaliawas and Khatwali villages, Rewari.
The programme focused on promoting balanced fertilizer use, Soil Health Cards, soil testing, Integrated Nutrient Management (INM), organic and natural farming, and government schemes to encourage sustainable agricultural practices.
Experts from SGT University, KVK Rewari, and IFFCO Haryana shared practical insights on soil health, vermicomposting, biofertilizers, and crop diversification, while Dr. Pooja Pant, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, highlighted the University's Soil Testing Laboratory and its role in supporting farmers through scientific soil analysis.
The interactive session witnessed enthusiastic participation from farmers, reinforcing SGT University's commitment to promoting sustainable agriculture through knowledge, innovation, and community outreach.

The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram successfully organized a Farmers’ Training Programme today village, Badsa, as part of the Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) programme.
The training was conducted by final-year RAWE students under the guidance and coordination of Dr. Manjeet, Dr. Rajesh Mor, Dr. Shakti Om Pathak, Dr. Meenakshi Devi, and Dr. Sucheta Dahiya. The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from more than 60 farmers from Village Badsa.
During the training programme, students delivered lectures and shared practical knowledge on the following topics:
• Field crops cultivation practices
• Orchard establishment and kitchen gardening
• Integrated Nutrient Management (INM)
• Integrated Pest Management (IPM)
• Organic farming
• Soil testing and water testing methods & Soil health management
• Government schemes in agriculture & horticulture (Government of Haryana)
The programme concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session, during which faculty coordinators addressed farmers’ queries and provided field-oriented solutions to their problems.
Such extension activities under the RAWE programme strengthen the linkage between the university and farming community, while also enhancing experiential and skill-based learning among students.
