Achieve your study abroad and career goals. Get Into Your Dream University!
Save this: 5 great BIO careers (no MBBS, no NEET) 🚀
If you are new here:
I am Nistha, founder of 24NorthStar and Scholar Strategy. I did my MS in UIUC and dropped out of MBA at NYU. I have worked on Wall Street and been mentoring kids and students in India, Asia, Middle East and US for more than a decade. We specialize in helping high school kids choose careers more holistically 🤩
WHO and LinkedIn (2025 data) show >20% growth in roles across biotech, data‑driven healthcare, and mental health over the next 10 years.
If your child cares about health, tech, or people — make sure they understand the BIO careers landscape before they go the NEET route.
So if your teen is drawn to biology or healthcare, here are real alternatives they should explore:
1. Biomedical Engineering – mix of medicine and technology; offered at IITs, BITS, VIT, and global universities like Johns Hopkins and NUS.
2. Biotechnology or Molecular Biology – high‑growth fields for R&D, pharma, genetic analysis.
3. Public Health or Epidemiology – design solutions that prevent disease globally; great for policy‑minded students.
4. Clinical or Health Psychology – fast‑growing need for mental‑health experts in India.
5. Health Data Science – perfect blend of biology, math, and AI; used by hospitals, insurers, and research labs.
Your child can impact healthcare, save lives, and innovate — without ever writing NEET.
We are helping our clients build meaningful projects and prepare for an uncertain job market.

🚩 Don’t do IB if… 🌍
Hi, I’m Nistha—Founder of 24NorthStar, career coach and ex-Wall Street professional. I work with ambitious students from high school to Master’s, helping them unlock global careers.
Today we are talking about where IB board can be a misfit.
And you should avoid it if your child:
- is not academically inclined (not talking about rote learning but going into depth in many subjects)
- procrastinates
- does not like writing
- is not interested in studying abroad
We have worked with dozens of IB students now at UCLA, UT Austin, Imperial, and NTU — we know what works!

Planning for your child’s college? Please don’t make this mistake ⬇️
Hi, I’m Nistha—Founder of 24NorthStar, career coach and ex-Wall Street professional. I work with ambitious students from high school to Master’s, helping them unlock global careers.
You cannot predict which country will be “stable” when your child graduates 4 years from now.
→ 2020: Pandemic border closures
→ 2022: UK and Canada visa chaos
→ 2025: US attacks on F1 and H1B visas
→ 2026: Middle East disruptions
The families who won didn’t predict. They prepared.
Applied to 3 countries. Got 5 admits. Had backup plans A, B, C.
So, here’s my request - Stop predicting. Start creating options.
Build a portfolio across:
→ Different countries (US, Canada, Europe, Asia)
→ Different funding models
→ Different timelines
Because the only predictable thing about the next 4 years?
It will be unpredictable.
Nobody values a backup plan until they desperately need one and don’t have it.
Don’t be that family in 2026.

OxBridge updates ⬇️
Hi, I’m Nistha—Founder of 24NorthStar, career coach and ex-Wall Street professional. I work with ambitious students from high school to Master’s, helping them unlock global careers.
I’m sure you have heard how OxBridge doesnt entertain students from Indian Boards CBSE ICSE etc. But that is changing from 2026!
1. What changed 🎯
- Oxford and Cambridge now recognize CBSE Class 12 grades as formal academic evidence.
- Predicted scores and rigorous entrance tests matter more than A Levels.
2. What students need 🌍
- At least 90% average predicted grades in five subjects.
- Focus on test prep (TSA, MAT, ENGAA, LNAT) and strong essays.
3. Why it’s great 💡
- CBSE students no longer have to switch to IB or A Levels.
- Schools with recognized internal assessment reports are now accepted for OxBridge applications.
4. Parent insight 🧭
- Focus on early test prep and preparing strong essays.
We know what it takes to get into Oxford and Cambridge.
