Faculty of Education successfully organised "Comprehensive Training on Research Methodology and SPSS: From Paradigms to Practice" on and from 11th to 15th May 2026.
Aligned with: SDG 4 (Quality Education) – Enhancing research competencies among faculty members to improve the quality of higher education and research output.
Objective of the Event: To equip faculty members and research scholars with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in research methodology, statistical analysis using SPSS, and academic writing, bridging the gap between theoretical paradigms and hands-on practice.
Resource Person: Prof. D. N. Sansanwal, Former Dean & Head, Faculty of Education & Psychology, Devi Ahilyabai Vishvavidyalaya, Indore, M.P.
Outcome of the event:
1. Enhanced research skills and statistical competence among participants.
2. Improved quality of research publications and dissertations.
3. Increased use of SPSS in academic and field-based research.
4. Strengthening institutional research culture and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Conclusion: The 5-day FDP successfully provided a structured and rigorous training experience, covering the entire research lifecycle from problem identification and hypothesis formulation to advanced statistical analysis using SPSS and scholarly writing. The program successfully bridged theoretical paradigms with practical application, significantly enhancing the research capabilities of participating faculty members. Follow-up actions may include establishing a research mentorship network and organizing advanced workshops on specialized statistical techniques.

Hands-on Workshop on “Strengthening Safeguarding Practices in Educational Institutions”
Outcome:
The workshop enhanced participants’ awareness of safeguarding practices in schools and educational institutions. Participants gained valuable knowledge about child protection policies, ethical responsibilities of educators, and effective strategies for identifying and responding to safeguarding concerns.
Feedback was collected through a structured Google Form from workshop participants. The analysis shows a high level of satisfaction with the workshop, particularly regarding the relevance of the topic, expertise of the resource person, and interactive learning environment. Detailed graphical analysis including pie charts and bar graphs is attached.
Conclusion:
The Hands-on Workshop on “Strengthening Safeguarding Practices in Educational Institutions” was highly successful and beneficial for participants.
The session helped future educators develop a deeper understanding of safeguarding practices and ethical responsibilities in education.
Participants appreciated the expertise of the resource person, the relevance of the topic, and the interactive nature of the workshop.
Overall, the workshop contributed significantly to enhancing professional awareness, ethical responsibility, and safeguarding competence among B.Ed students, aligning with the quality enhancement objectives of IQAC and SGT University.

Empowering Educators for a Sustainable Future
The Faculty of Education, SGT University successfully organised an enriching workshop on “Empowering Educators to Drive the Circular Transition” on 29th April 2026, in celebration of World Earth Week.
The session was graced by Dr. Renu Sharma, Head of Program – Research & Advocacy at H.M.E Waste Management, who delivered an insightful and inspiring talk on sustainability, circular economy, and the crucial role of educators in fostering environmentally responsible practices.
Her engaging session highlighted how educators can act as catalysts of change by integrating sustainable values into teaching-learning processes and inspiring future generations towards a greener tomorrow.
