सरायकेला-खरसावाँ के कृष्णापुर गाँव की पिंकी महतो से जुड़कर काफी खुश है। पिंकी के पिता किसान है, उनकी आमदनी से घर की ज़रूरतें पूरी नहीं हो पाती थी। DDU-GKY के अंतर्गत पिंकी ने सिविंग मशीन ओपरेटर की ट्रेनिंग ली और आज वह Orient Craft के चौपंकी, राजस्थान यूनिट में असिस्टेंट ओपरेटर के तौर पर काम कर रही हैं। पिंकी की मासिक आय 10,000 रुपये है, जिससे वह एक खुशहाल ज़िंदगी जी रही हैं और अपने परिवार की ज़रूरतें पूरा करने में सहायता कर रही है। कविड-19 महामारी के दौरान पिंकी ने PPE कीट और मास्क बनाकर अपना सहयोग दिया।
