Our Department of Economics at Gurugram University had the privilege of hosting a Special Guest Lecture on โCareer Dreamsโ by Dr. Ajay Garg. The session provided deep insights into corporate life, career growth, and real-world experiences that go beyond textbooks.
It was an inspiring interaction that helped students gain valuable knowledge and clarity about their future paths.

Gurugram Universityโs Department of Economics hosted a successful international conference on โHuman Well-being Beyond GDP: Towards Holistic Measures for Viksit Bharat @2047.โ The event began with a ceremonial lamp lighting by the Chief Guest and dignitaries, presided over by Prof. Sanjay Kaushik, Vice-Chancellor of the university and Dr Sanjay Arora , Registrar of university.
The Chief Guest, Ashish Kumar, Senior Fellow at NITI Aayog, along with distinguished guests like Prof. Kanhaiya Ahuja (Devi Ahilya University), and Prof. James Foster (George Washington University, USA), addressed the gathering. A total of 260 research papers were presented by scholars from the USA, UK, Israel, and more. Prof. Neera Verma, Chairperson of the Department, welcomed attendees and elaborated on the theme. The Chief Guest stressed that for Viksit Bharat @2047, GDP growth alone is insufficient; policy must focus on social equality, quality of life, and human happiness. Keynotes by Prof. Ahuja and Prof. Foster provided insights on inclusive growth, multidimensional poverty, and social justice.
The special lecture was delivered by Prof. Ram Singh, Director, Delhi School of Economics, University of Delhi and a panel discussion by Prof. Ranjan Aneja, Prof. Paramjit, Prof. Vikas Batra and Prof. Pooja Saxena.
The conference concluded on a high note, with inspiring discussions and a shared commitment to shaping a more inclusive, equitable future for India. We thank all participants and look forward to continuing this vital dialogue.๐โจ

Our Department of Economics was thrilled to organise a one-day educational trip to the Geeta Jayanti Mahotsav, Kurukshetraโa place where history, culture, spirituality, and wisdom came together. ๐ผโจ
From exploring the sacred land of Kurukshetra to experiencing the rich heritage and vibrant celebrations of the Mahotsav, the trip offered not just knowledge, but unforgettable moments. ๐ฟ๐ธ
Along with this, we also visited Kurukshetra University, where we had the opportunity to interact with the faculty of the Department of Economics. This academic interaction helped us gain deeper insights into higher learning, research opportunities, and future academic pathways. ๐๐คโจ
