Watch the magic of learning unfold! 🌿💧
This little scientist is turning muddy water into clean with just simple tools. It’s amazing what curious minds can achieve!
Simple tools & Step by step instructions to follow:-
Key Objective: Understanding filtration, decantation, and sedimentation.
Materials Required: Muddy water, Beaker, Filter paper, Funnel, Glass rod.
Instructions:
1. Pour muddy water into a beaker and let it sit for some time.
2. Observe the sedimentation process as mud particles settle at the bottom.
3. Slowly decant the clear water into another beaker without disturbing the sediment.
4. Set up a filtration apparatus using a funnel and filter paper.
5. Pour the decanted water through the filter paper into another beaker.
Observations:
Sedimentation: Mud particles settle at the bottom.
Decantation: Clear water can be poured off.
Filtration: Remaining particles are removed by the filter paper.
Real-life Applications:
1. Purification of drinking water.
2. Separation of solid impurities from liquids in various industries.
