Ask a 3-year-old to define "family" and you'll get a hundred different answers. Ask them to name their favourite place in school, and you'll get an even better one.
This month's theme - "My Family & My School" took our Little Olympians on a school tour of their own, where they identified spaces, understood what each one is for, and confidently named their favourite. They explored the idea of family too, spotting the difference between a nuclear family and a joint family, and talking about who makes up theirs.
Along the way, they built something just as important as the concepts themselves: the confidence to speak up, the patience to listen, and the curiosity to observe.
That's the quiet power of thematic learning β it doesn't just teach a child a fact. It teaches them to make sense of their own world.
