"MAN OF SORROWS" THE KNOCKING...

Isaiah 53:3, which portrays him as despised, rejected, and intimately acquainted with grief. This verse is central to the prophecy of the suffering servant, highlighting his familiarity with human pain and suffering

(Isaiah 53:3) He is despised and rejected by men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.

Acquainted with Grief: This signifies that Jesus did not just observe human suffering, but experienced it intimately throughout his life.

Despised and Rejected: Refers to his rejection by people and the low esteem in which he was held.

Purpose of Sorrow: According to Isaiah 53:4-5, his suffering was not for himself, but to bear the griefs, sorrows, and transgressions of humanity, ultimately bringing healing.

Prophetic Context: Written by the prophet Isaiah, it is considered one of the most detailed prophecies regarding the Messiah's suffering.
