Ayushman Bharat Diwas is celebrated on 30 April across the country. It is a programme of the Government of India to provide the underprivileged and economically backward people access to government as well as private healthcare facilities.

National Panchayati Raj Day is celebrated every year on 24 April in India. On this day Constitution came into force with effect from 24 April, 1993. In 2010 the first National Panchayati Raj Day was celebrated. A new part in the Constitution Part IX was added by passing 73rd Amendment Act from Article 243 to 243 (O) titled "The Panchayats" and a new Eleventh Schedule consisting of 29 subjects within the functions of Panchayats were also added.

World Earth Day
This day is observed every year on 22 April to mark the anniversary of the birth of the modern environmental movement in 1970. In the Universe Earth is the only planet where life is possible and so it is necessary to maintain this natural asset. World Earth Day is celebrated to increase awareness about the importance of the planet.

Ambedkar Remembrance Day is also known as Ambedkar Jayanti or Bhim Jayanti which is observed on 14 April to commemorate the memory of B.R Ambedkar. This day celebrates the birthday of Baba Saheb Bhimrao Ambedkar, an Indian politician and social rights activist. B.R. Ambedkar was an Indian scholar, jurist, politician and social reformer, who was fundamental in the creation of an independent India.
Born into a dalit class in India, Ambedkar became the first of his caste to enter Bombay University. Through the 1920s he campaigned on behalf of untouchables organising marches and protests.

Baisakhi is a spring harvest festival for Sikhs and Hindus. It is usually celebrated on April 13 or 14 every year. It marks the Sikh new year and commemorates the formation of Khalsapanth of warriors under Guru Gobind Singh in 1699. Baisakhi is also an ancient festival of Hindus, marking the Solar New Year and also celebrating the spring harvest. Baisakhi was also the day when colonial British empire officials committed the Jallianwala Bagh massacre on a gathering, an event influential to the Indian movement against colonial rule.

Online classes and work assignments keep students busy at Meenakshi World School in the wake of the lockdown due to the Covid-19 outbreak.Educators have found ways to carry on studies without them or their students being physically present in class. Students are taking online classes through the zoom app. Educators are constantly helping students by sending content, worksheets, videos and solved questions. To make teaching and learning more convenient, educators are available to clear doubts. Class-wise groups are made where students can post their assignments and queries if any.
Parents, teachers, and students have all been adjusting over the past week after schools across the country closed due to coronavirus threat. We have posted quality content for students on class broadcast groups and are taking regular online classes from Grade 9 to Grade 12.
Educators are working from home to design lessons and assignments. The work done by students is also being assessed. Regular appeals are being made to parents, students and staff to follow government advisory.

MahavirJayanti is one of the most significant festivals among the Jain community and is celebrated with splendor in India and across the world. The festival commemorates the birth of Lord Mahavira. As per Jain mythology, Lord Mahavira is the 24th Tirthankara of Jainism. This year, Mahavir Jayanti is celebrated on the 6th of April. It reminds the people of Mahavir’s message of ‘Live and let live’ for the peace and goodwill among the people

Ram Navami, celebrated on the ninth day of the Chaitra month, is considered to be an auspicious festival in the Hindu calendar. It marks the end of the spring festival of Chaitra Navratri or Vasanta Navratri and is believed to be the birthday of Lord Rama.
This year, Ram Navami 2020 is celebrated on Thursday, 2 April.As against previous years Ram Navami is celebrated in the confines of the homes in India due to the Corona virus pandemic. It is a great opportunity to incline oneself spiritually. People engage in fasting and praying today.
