ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਹਰਗੋਬਿੰਦ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ, ਸ਼੍ਰੀ ਹਰਗੋਬਿੰਦਪੁਰ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਵਿਖੇ ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਦਿਹਾੜੇ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਸ. ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਯੋਗ ਅਗਵਾਈ ਅਤੇ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਸਦਕਾ ਵਿਸ਼ੇਸ਼ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਕੂਲ ਸਟਾਫ਼ ਅਤੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਧ-ਚੜ੍ਹ ਕੇ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ।
ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਸਕੂਲੀ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੁਰਬਾਣੀ ਦੇ ਜਾਪ, ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ,ਕਵਿਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਗੀਤ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਰਵਿੰਦਰਜੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਮਨੋਹਰ ਕੀਰਤਨ ਕੀਤੇ ਗਏ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਧਾਰਮਿਕ ਅਧਿਆਪਕ ਸਰਵਣ ਸਿੰਘ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਜੀ ਦੇ ਜੀਵਨ, ਅਦੁੱਤੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਅਤੇ ਮਹਾਨ ਉਪਦੇਸ਼ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਾਨਣਾ ਪਾਇਆ ।
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਨ ਕਰਦਿਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਹਰਪ੍ਰੀਤ ਸਿੰਘ ਨੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ:
"ਸ੍ਰੀ ਗੁਰੂ ਅਰਜਨ ਦੇਵ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹਾਦਤ ਮਨੁੱਖਤਾ ਦੇ ਇਤਿਹਾਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਬੇਮਿਸਾਲ ਹੈ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਹੱਕ, ਸੱਚ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਮ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਲਈ ਤੱਤੀ ਤਵੀ 'ਤੇ ਬੈਠ ਕੇ ਸ਼ਾਂਤ ਚਿੱਤ ਰਹਿਣ ਦਾ ਜੋ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦਿੱਤਾ, ਉਹ ਸਾਨੂੰ ਹਮੇਸ਼ਾ ਚੜ੍ਹਦੀ ਕਲਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਰਹਿਣ ਦੀ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਨਾ ਦਿੰਦਾ ਹੈ। ਅੱਜ ਦੀ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਪੀੜ੍ਹੀ ਨੂੰ ਗੁਰੂ ਸਾਹਿਬ ਦੇ ਦੱਸੇ ਮਾਰਗ 'ਤੇ ਚੱਲਣ ਦੀ ਲੋੜ ਹੈ।"
ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਹੀਦੀ ਨੂੰ ਸਮਰਪਿਤ ਸਕੂਲ ਪ੍ਰਬੰਧਕਾਂ ਅਤੇ ਬੱਚਿਆਂ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਠੰਢੇ-ਮਿੱਠੇ ਜਲ ਦੀ ਛਬੀਲ ਦਾ ਲੰਗਰ ਲਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੇ ਅਖੀਰ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਬੱਤ ਦੇ ਭਲੇ ਦੀ ਅਰਦਾਸ ਕੀਤੀ ਗਈ।
