Hello EEGIET,

As we enter another year of placement season, I thought of sharing my silly insight from the College - Industry relationships and differences.

Most of the tasks we perform in our routine activities involve working in groups and teams. It may be our project, Our preparations for semesters, Competitions, celebrating festivals etc. But, When we attend a job interview, We are judged mostly on individual lines.
However, here are a few things that we can keep in mind before we sit in the hot seats.
In all the healthy working environment, The teams are support and work in cooperation.
Best people don't perform well in Interviews.

It is quite natural to feel nervous among unfamiliar people and unfamiliar environment. People who are more likely to be offered focus more on the process and get the deal done, People focusing on their professional looks, Professional suits and checks very often miss the target.

If you are appearing for a role as a player in a football club, What is the most likely asset that you are going to put on the table? Is this your sprinting capacity or it is the track record of teams that you have represented?

The more we are helpful to people, The better chance we hold of getting the deal done.
Otherwise rudely but truly, Our Talent is a terrible waste.

It is pleasing to know that the results of the written test for TCS recruitment has been published and we, as a department have made a fair presence in the merit list.

Sharing some facts from TATAs which might help people.
1. TCS is the biggest revenue generator among the companies registered under TATA sons.
2. TATA contributes more than 66 percent of its' revenue to charity. Yes, you heard it right.
3. TATA sons has more than 295 companies registered.
4. TATA conducts an evaluation of companies based upon several parameters on a point of 1200. The companies which manage to score more than 50 percent can only use the TATA logo with it. TCS is using the TATA logo.
5. N Chandrasekharan is the chairman of TATA sons and Mr Rajesh Goponathan is the CEO of TCS.
6. TCS has recently won the biggest ever capitalised project by any Indian IT participant. It is worth 2.25billion USD or 14000 crore INR.
7. Most of the TCS office buildings are IGBC certified and platinum rated.
8. The workforce of TCS is nearly 3,83,000.
9. TCS is now deep into the IOT and BIG DATA, as subjects of interest and development.

Hi EEGIET
Looking Back is always pleasant and there is of course a lot which I miss being away from the life I had there, but That is in fact the thinnest difference between the College and Corporate.

Well, It has just been my start in the Production phase of a project and fortunately, we are pilotting it going live from from the first of Nov.
I just wanted a talk to the Final Year Friends who must be pressure filled in between the Semesters, Campus Drives and the Mini Project.
Dear Friends, Out of the very few days spent in and around the live Phase of business activities, I have seen three important short conclusions.
1. There is a big difference in "knowing the solution" and "Confidence to reach" the solution. Believe me, The later one is paid in the long run.

2. The Problems can chase you Or You can Face them. Here, The later one obviously gives you an unmatched and sound satisfaction. The eagerness of propelling oneself towards the next higher step keeps one lively throughout.

3. People, Short of Knowledge(Competency), try to compensate with the authority. (May Sound hard-hitting, Apologies for that !).

To all the final year students, I would better recommend to maintain a proper work balance on the differing aspirations. Needless to mention that A miss on any one of them can potentially cause a huge damage.

Mark my words, "You are really surrounded by a very healthy and competitive environment in the college campus, Forget the few things you can't attain, Work on the expected deliverables
because, The life outside college is a big transformation from PROTECTED to EXPOSED nature"
You have a long life to enjoy but very short one to prove.
