పేద విద్యార్థినులకు దాతల చేయూత కొండంత అండ.ప్రభుత్వ బాలికల కళాశాల ప్రిన్సిపాల్ జి సునీత.
దాతలు దయా గుణంతో పేద విద్యార్థినులకు చేయూత అందించడం ద్వారా సమాజానికి ఉపయోగపడే పౌరులుగా ఎదుగుతారని ప్రభుత్వ బాలికల కళాశాల ప్రిన్సిపాల్ జి సునీత పేర్కొన్నారు.
గురువారం స్థానిక సంస్థ బాలికల కళాశాల లో విశ్రాంత అధ్యాపకురాలు తాళ్లూరి భాగ్యశ్రీ తనతో పాటు ఇతర దాతల సహకారంతో 50 మంది పేద విద్యార్థినుల కు ఏకరూప దుస్తులు (యూనిఫామ్) అందించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ప్రధాన దాత భాగ్యశ్రీ మాట్లాడుతూ తాను పేదరికం నుండే వచ్చానని అందువల్లనే తనతో పాటు తన భర్త, కుమార్తెలు, స్నేహితులు, స్వచ్ఛంద సంస్థల సహకారంతో గత మూడు దశాబ్దాలుగా విద్యార్థినుల కోసం ఉపకార వేతనాలు, యూనిఫామ్, మధ్యాహ్న భోజనం వంటి సేవా కార్యక్రమాలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్లు తెలియజేశారు.
కార్యక్రమంలో విశ్రాంత అధ్యాపకులు విష్ణుభట్ల జయ, దీన కుమారి, నిస్శంకరరావు అలేఖ్య నరేంద్ర, మత్తే హారిక బోస్ సందీప్, అలేఖ్య బోస్, తాళ్లూరి రాణి, అధ్యాపకులు మరియదాస్, అన్నపూర్ణ, భూలక్ష్మి, సునీత తదితరులు పాల్గొన్నారు

ప్రభుత్వ బాలికల జూనియర్ కళాశాలలో..
స్థానిక సాంబశివ పేట ప్రభుత్వ బాలికల జూనియర్ కళాశాల లో లయన్స్, రోటరీ క్లబ్ ల సంయుక్త ఆధ్వర్యంలో అంతర్జాతీయ మహిళ దినోత్సవం ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు. సభకు అధ్యక్షత వహించిన ప్రిన్సిపాల్ సునీత మాట్లాడుతూ రేపటి మహిళలు గా కాబోతున్న నేటి విద్యార్థినులు సామాజిక స్పృహ తో తమ భవిష్యత్తును తీర్చిదిద్దుకునేందుకు విద్య అనే ఆయుధాన్ని సక్రమంగా వినియోగించుకోవాలని పేర్కొన్నారు.
ప్రతిభ కనబరిచిన విద్యార్థులకు డి ఎస్ కళ్యాణ మండపం చారిటబుల్ ట్రస్ట్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఉపకార వేతనాలు పంపిణీ చేశారు. కళాశాల పేరెంట్స్ కమిటీ ఉపాధ్యక్షురాలు ఎస్ శారదను ఘనంగా సత్కరించారు.

Our Junior College establishment and evolution:

Government junior college for girls is situated at Sabasiva Rao pet in Guntur in the state of Andhra Pradesh. It was located in the campus of Government degree college for women which was established in 1942. Our intermediate courses were started from the very initiated year 1969 in that college. Our junior college was bifurcated from that composite degree college in the year 1996 with intermediate streams of Science,Arts, commerce and vocational courses. Vocational junior college was bifurcated from our college during the academic year 2008-2009.
At present it offers 5 courses namely MPC, BiPC, CEC, HEC both in English and Telugu media and MEC in English medium. GJCG, GUNTUR campus is spread over 6 Acres. Presently our college has a strength of 1032 ( First year 537 and second year 495). We have achieved 72% pass percentage for the second year and 55% for the first year during the last academic year i.e 2019-2020, IPE-March. Our college received State championship in the cultural activities during the BIE golden jubilee celebrations . Many our art students are joining reputed degree colleges in Delhi with an aim of pursuing civil services. We have well equipped class rooms with the needed furniture. But we have no separate hostel for our girl students who are coming from far of places not only of our district but also from the neighbouring districts. We have well qualified dedicated staff who are striving hard not only in the academic matters but also for the over all development of the students. We are providing yoga and karate training to our students free of cost to boost their physical and moral strengths. We have NSS unit through which we are imbing our social responsibilities towards society.

Aims:

1.To make Intermediate Education accessible to girls pertaining to all sections of the society.

2. To lay special emphasis on the Rural, Tribal, Socially under privileged sections of the society.

3.To strengthen girl's Education by improving their enrolment in the Colleges.

Vision:

Imparting knowledge, skills and values through need based flexible curriculum through student central teaching methods.
