Veritas simply means truth. Jesus prayed in His last prayer that the church should be sanctified by “truth”, which is the word of God (John 17:17). He also said that it is the knowledge of truth (by practicing His word) that liberates us from sin and its consequences (John 8:32). Truth sanctifies; truth liberates. Truth represents reality as it is. Truth transforms and so the society that upholds it. Truth prevails and so the person who practices it. It all begins with how you understand the Bible and apply it to your life. Veritas helps you achieve that life-transforming goal and thereby encourages you to transform your society. It helps you develop a holistic view of knowledge by integrating all true knowledge with that of Scriptures. నీతి నిమిత్తము హింసింపబడు వారు ధన్యులు; పరలోక రాజ్యము వారిది. — మత్తయి 5:10

నిజ క్రైస్తవులకి ఈ లోకంలో హింస తప్పదు. “క్రీస్తుయేసునందు సద్భక్తితో బ్రదుకనుద్దేశించువారందరు హింసపొందుదురు” (2 తిమో.3:12) అని బైబిల్ చెబుతోంది. ఇక్కడ ప్రత్యేకించి అన్యులనుంచీ లేక క్రైస్తవ ద్వేషులనుంచీ లేక సజ్జన ద్వేషులనుంచీ (2 తిమో. 3:3) వచ్చే హింస గురించి ప్రభువు మాట్లాడుతున్నారు. ఇది క్రీస్తును తూ.చ. తప్పకుండా పాటించడం లేక ఆయన్ను మాత్రమే పూజించడం వల్ల లేక లోక మర్యాద కంటే క్రీస్తు ధర్మానికి ఎక్కువ ప్రాధాన్యత ఇవ్వడం వల్ల (ఒక క్రైస్తవుడికి) కలిగే హింస. ఇటువంటి హింస గుండా వెళ్ళే క్రైస్తవులని ప్రభువు ధన్యులు అంటున్నారు. ఆ పక్క వచనంలోనే ఆయన “నా నిమిత్తం” జనులు మిమ్ములను హింసిస్తారు… అప్పుడు మీరు ధన్యులు అని కూడా చెప్తున్నారు (వ.11). – Writings from Sickbed - https://www.theveritasindia.org/devotion-today/himsa-dhanyata-yelaa-avuthundhi/ -

ప్రభువు బడిలో ప్రార్ధనా పాఠాలు - [ఆయన] శరీరధారియై యున్న దినములలో మహా రోదనముతోను కన్నీళ్లతోను, తన్ను మరణమునుండి రక్షింపగలవానికి ప్రార్థనలను యాచనలను సమర్పించి, భయభక్తులుకలిగి యున్నందున ఆయన అంగీకరింపబడెను — హెబ్రీ. 5:7
