చాలా మంది hearing loss ఉన్నవారికి “hearing aid పెట్టుకుంటే సరిపోతుంది” అని అనుకుంటారు. కానీ నిజానికి అందరికీ ఒకే విధంగా hearing aids ఉపయోగపడవు.

ఈరోజు మా దగ్గరకు వచ్చిన ముగ్గురు patients కూడా ఇప్పటికే చాలా hearing aids try చేశారు. కొందరు 4 నుంచి 10 వరకు devices కూడా మార్చారు. కానీ hearing clarity, speech understanding లో సరైన benefit మాత్రం రాలేదు.

Our patient had been suffering from episodic vertigo since 2018. Initially, episodes used to occur once a year, but from the last one year, frequency became more severe and frequent. She experienced true spinning sensation lasting around 2–3 hours along with nausea, vomiting, tinnitus, aural fullness, and hearing changes in the left ear.

Mobile కాదు… మీ time పిల్లలకు కావాలి!

చివరగా parents కి నేను ఇచ్చే ముఖ్యమైన సలహా ఏమిటంటే — mobile ను “baby sitter” లా వాడకండి.

పిల్లలతో parents లేదా grandparents ఎవరైనా ఉన్నా, వారితో ఎక్కువగా మాట్లాడడం, interact అవడం చాలా అవసరం. ఇది పిల్లల communication development కి చాలా ముఖ్యమైనది.

మీ పిల్లల్లో ఏమైనా behavior changes కనిపించినా, ఆలస్యం చేయకుండా దగ్గరలో ఉన్న professional ని కలవండి. Early identification చాలా కీలకం. సమస్యను ఎంత త్వరగా గుర్తిస్తే, అంత త్వరగా treatment ప్రారంభించవచ్చు.
