Little Performers, Big Messages: A Theatrical Celebration
Pitts Modern School, Gomia, organised an engaging and thought-provoking Inter-Section Skit Competition for students of Classes I to V on 22.08.26, providing the students with a vibrant platform to showcase their creativity, confidence, acting skills and teamwork.
The competition was conducted at two venues. Classes I and II presented their performances at the Junior Assembly Ground, while Classes III to V showcased their talents at the Senior Assembly Ground.
The students of Classes I and II presented skits on the theme “Life Beyond Screen.” Through lively performances and meaningful messages, the participants highlighted the importance of maintaining a healthy balance between screen time and real-life experiences such as outdoor play, family interaction, friendship, creativity and learning.
The activities for Classes I and II were coordinated by Ms. Priti Narain and Ms. Sujata Das, while Ms. Nandita Bhattacharjee and Ms. Shilpi served as the judges.
Students of Classes III to V explored the inspiring theme “Unsung Heroes of India.” Through powerful and expressive performances, they highlighted the courage, dedication and remarkable contributions of individuals whose service and sacrifices have played an important role in the nation's progress, yet often remain less recognised.
The activity was coordinated by Ms. Karishma Bista and Mr. Shyam, while Ms. Priya Sinha and Ms. Puja Mehta served as the judges.
The performances were evaluated on various parameters including content, creativity, acting, dialogue delivery, stage presence, coordination, presentation and overall impact. The students displayed impressive enthusiasm, confidence and teamwork, making the competition both entertaining and enriching.

Principal, Mr. Brij Mohan Lal Das, appreciated the enthusiastic participation of the students and said that such competitions provide children with an excellent platform to develop confidence, creativity, communication skills and critical thinking. He emphasised that performing arts can play an important role in helping students express meaningful ideas with clarity and conviction.
Mr. Arindam Dasgupta, Vice Chairman of Gomia School Society, appreciated the thought-provoking themes and the sincere efforts of the students and teachers. He highlighted that such activities extend learning beyond the classroom and help children develop empathy, social awareness, teamwork and self-expression.
Mr. Abhishek Biswas, MCM of IEPL (ORICA), Gomia, congratulated the participants and appreciated the school's efforts towards the holistic development of students. He remarked that such platforms enable the learners to discover their talents, strengthen their leadership qualities and grow into confident and responsible individuals.

पिट्स मॉडर्न स्कूल, गोमिया में कक्षा पहली से पॉंचवीं तक के छात्रों के लिए 22अगस्त2026 को एक आकर्षक और विचारोत्तेजक अंतर-वर्गीय नाटक प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया गया, जिसने छात्रों को अपनी रचनात्मकता, आत्मविश्वास, अभिनय कौशल और टीम वर्क को प्रदर्शित करने के लिए एक जीवंत मंच प्रदान किया।
प्रतियोगिता दो स्थलों पर आयोजित की गई। कक्षा पहली और दूसरी ने जूनियर असेंबली ग्राउंड में अपनी प्रस्तुति दी, जबकि कक्षा तीसरी सेपॉंचवीं तक के छात्रों ने सीनियर असेंबली ग्राउंड में अपनी प्रतिभा का प्रदर्शन किया।
कक्षा पहली और दूसरी के छात्रों ने "स्क्रीन से परे जीवन" विषय पर नाटक प्रस्तुत किए। जीवंत प्रस्तुतियों और सार्थक संदेशों के माध्यम से, प्रतिभागियों ने स्क्रीन टाइम और वास्तविक जीवन के अनुभवों जैसे आउटडोर खेल, पारिवारिक बातचीत, दोस्ती, रचनात्मकता और सीखने के बीच स्वस्थ संतुलन बनाए रखने के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला।
कक्षा पहली और दूसरी की गतिविधियों का समन्वय सुश्री प्रीति नारायण और सुश्री सुजाता दास ने किया, जबकि सुश्री नंदिता भट्टाचार्जी और सुश्री शिल्पी ने निर्णायक की भूमिका निभाई।
कक्षा तीसरी से पॉंचवी तक के छात्रों ने "भारत के गुमनाम नायक" के प्रेरणादायक विषय का अन्वेषण किया। सशक्त और अभिव्यंजक प्रस्तुतियों के माध्यम से, उन्होंने उन व्यक्तियों के साहस, समर्पण और उल्लेखनीय योगदान को उजागर किया, जिनकी सेवा और बलिदान ने देश की प्रगति में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाई है, फिर भी अक्सर उन्हें कम पहचान मिलती है।
इस गतिविधि का समन्वय सुश्री करिश्मा बिस्टा और श्री श्याम ने किया, जबकि सुश्री प्रिया सिन्हा और सुश्री पूजा मेहता ने निर्णायक के रूप में कार्य किया।
प्रस्तुतियों का मूल्यांकन सामग्री, रचनात्मकता, अभिनय, संवाद अदायगी, मंच की उपस्थिति, समन्वय, प्रस्तुति और समग्र प्रभाव सहित विभिन्न मापदंडों पर किया गया। छात्रों ने प्रभावशाली उत्साह, आत्मविश्वास और टीम वर्क का प्रदर्शन किया, जिससे प्रतियोगिता मनोरंजक और समृद्ध दोनों बन गई।

प्राचार्य श्री बृज मोहन लाल दास ने छात्रों की उत्साही भागीदारी की सराहना की और कहा कि ऐसी प्रतियोगिताएं बच्चों को आत्मविश्वास, रचनात्मकता, संचार कौशल और आलोचनात्मक सोच विकसित करने के लिए एक उत्कृष्ट मंच प्रदान करती हैं। उन्होंने जोर देकर कहा कि प्रदर्शन कलाएं छात्रों को सार्थक विचारों को स्पष्टता और दृढ़ विश्वास के साथ व्यक्त करने में मदद करने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभा सकती हैं।
गोमिया विद्यालय समिति के उपाध्यक्ष श्री अरिंदम दासगुप्ता ने विचारोत्तेजक विषयों और छात्रों व शिक्षकों के ईमानदार प्रयासों की सराहना की। उन्होंने इस बात पर प्रकाश डाला कि ऐसी गतिविधियां सीखने को कक्षा से आगे बढ़ाती हैं और बच्चों में सहानुभूति, सामाजिक जागरूकता, टीम वर्क और आत्म-अभिव्यक्ति विकसित करने में मदद करती हैं।
आईईपीएल (ओरिका), गोमिया के एमसीएम श्री अभिषेक बिस्वास ने प्रतिभागियों को बधाई दी और छात्रों के समग्र विकास के प्रति स्कूल के प्रयासों की सराहना की। उन्होंने कहा कि ऐसे मंच शिक्षार्थियों को अपनी प्रतिभा की खोज करने, अपने नेतृत्व गुणों को मजबूत करने और आत्मविश्वासी और जिम्मेदार व्यक्तियों के रूप में विकसित होने में सक्षम बनाते हैं।
