ENTRANCE TEST FOR PUC I YEAR ADMISSION

*PROF S B PATANGI PASSED AWAY*

*It is quite painful to communicate that the seniormost professor of Physics has breathed his last. Prof S B Patangi is no more.*

Prof Patangi was the last word in conceptual Physics. He was known as the walking encyclopaedia of Physics. No wonder his elder son was one of the first IITians from the North Karnataka region.

His association with SB Science College and SBR Comp PU College is unforgettable. He put in his 33 years serving as a lecturer. SBR PUC remembers him for making it what it is today. Along with others, and under Shri Dewarkal Sir's guidance, he rose SBR to its enviable height. He worked in SBR PUC from 1993 to 2019.

SBRPUC mourns his death. SBR fraternity has lost an inimitable doyen of Physics and this loss is hard to fill. His departure has made our hearts numb. We pay a tearful tribute to the eminent teacher. His death has created a void which can hardly be filled.

May Lord Sharana give Patangi Sir's family the strength to bear this irreparable loss! May his soul rest in peace!

ANNUAL DAY AND FAREWELL TO II PUC STUDENTS

SBRPUC, January 31, 2023
Annual Day cm Farewell to II PUC students took place in SBR Composite PU College, Kalaburagi on 31 January 2023.

Students of the Year and Sportsman of the Year awards were given away by the chief guest Shri Shivashranappa Mulegaon, DDPU, Kalaburagi and the guest of honour Ms Shriyanka Dhanashri, KAS, Zonal Commissioner, Kalaburagi. The programme was chaired by Dr Chandrakant Patil, Head, Dept of Hindi.

The programme was conducted in two parts: Formal and Informal. The formal part consisted of speeches and the Award Ceremony whereas in the informal part, students presented the cultural activities.
The Students of the Year awards were conferred upon Sangamesh, Shriharsha, Vedant and Shrigouri. Sportsman of the Year went to Master Anil who represented the college at the state level. 73 other students who participated in the state level games were appreciated. Master Devaraj, Miss Bhagyashri and Miss Amrapali were given trophies for having been selected at the national level in Hockey. Miss Nidhi and Master Akash were felicitated for their achievements in various games.
All teachers and students were present for the programme which started around 3.30 pm and continued up to 8.00 pm

MOMENTS FROM MINI CONVOCATION - 2023

Mini Convocation 2023 was held in SBR Composite PU College, Kalaburagi on 22 January 2023.

The college toppers of NEET, JEE and PU Board Exam were felicitated at the hands of Matoshri Dr Dakshayini S Appa, Chairperson SVV Sangha, Kalaburagi and Member of the Governing Body, Sharnbasava University, Kalaburagi, Shri Baswaraj Deshmukh, Secretary SVV Sangha, Kalaburagi, Dr Niranjan Nisty, Vice Chancellor, Sharnbasava University, Kalaburagi, Prof Dayanand Agsar, Vice Chancellor, Gulbarga University, Kalaburagi.
Those felicitated were Master Rakesh, Master Nagshetty, Master Rohan, Miss Srushti, Miss Sneha (All NEET), Master Rahul Trimukhe, Master Abhijit Dande (Both JEE) Miss Vijaylaxmi (P U Board Exam College Topper) and nearly 300 other students who made the college proud by Securing MBBS Seats in different prestigious Medical Colleges in Karnataka.

SBR STUDENTS EXEMPLARY PERFORMANCE IN JEE MAIN PHASE – I
MASTER PRITESH JOGDHANKAR SCORES 98.5166391 PERCENTILE, 34 STUDENTS ABOVE 90 PERCENTILE

Students of SBR PUC have showcased their sterling performance in the First Phase of JEE Main conducted in January 2023. Master Pritesh Jogdhankar stood first in the college scoring a 98.5166391 percentile. He is followed by Master Vivekananda Reddy (97.4843274) and Master Jawwad Faizan (97.4796481). More than 34 students have made it above 90 percentile.

This exam is conducted in two phases and the better percentile of these two exams is considered as the eligibility for JEE advanced and for the best NIT colleges in the country. This year, more than 100 students are expected to get eligibility for writing JEE advanced. The II phase of the exam will be conducted in the month of April.
