Ready for an evening of music, performances and plenty of GJA spirit?

Our Student Showcase is happening on 22nd August, from 5 PM onwards at Goa Jazz Academy, Guirim.

Come cheer on our students from our One Year Programme, Junior Ensemble and Foundations in Music Programme as they take the stage and share the music they’ve been working on this semester.

It’s their moment to perform, grow, and celebrate how far they’ve come.

Taking care of your voice is just as important as putting in the right practice. As vocalists, our voices are our instruments, and knowing how to use them well also means knowing how to care for them.

Here’s our Voice Faculty, Smruti (Smruti Jalpur), sharing some simple and essential dos and don’ts that every vocalist can keep in mind, right from everyday practices to habits we should avoid that can affect our vocals. Whether you’re just starting out or have been singing for years, these are useful tips to keep in mind as you work on your voice.

At Goa Jazz Academy, we believe learning music goes beyond technique. As one of India's premier jazz academies, we're passionate about helping musicians build not just their skills, but their understanding of jazz, its history, and the culture that continues to shape it.
