Mission ShakthiSAT 2026: GBU to Host Mission ShakthiSAT 2026: Empowering Women in Space Technology!

Gautam Buddha University is proud to host Mission ShakthiSAT 2026 from 24–31 August 2026, a first-of-its-kind international initiative that will bring together young women from 108 countries to design and develop satellites under the guidance of ISRO scientists.

As part of this unique programme, 20 girl students from 17 Indian states have been selected to undergo intensive training in satellite technology, payload development, and space science. Two satellites will be developed during the mission and launched by ISRO's Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota.

This pioneering initiative reflects GBU's commitment to advancing STEM education, women empowerment, and global scientific collaboration.

GBU Selected to Establish AI & Green Skills Centre in Uttar Pradesh

Gautam Buddha University has been selected to establish an AI & Green Skills Centre, becoming one of only two institutions in Uttar Pradesh chosen for this prestigious initiative.

The centre aims to train 15,000 youth over the next three years in Artificial Intelligence, Green Technologies, Microelectronics, Digital Skills, and emerging technologies through industry-oriented learning, internships, and innovation-driven education.

This initiative will strengthen employability, promote entrepreneurship, and equip students with future-ready skills aligned with the evolving needs of industry and society.

🌿 The 2nd Annual International Academic Conference 2026 commenced at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, bringing together eminent academicians, researchers, policymakers, and scholars from across India and abroad to explore the theme "IKS: Re-weaving the Threads of Knowledge."

Organized jointly by Gautam Buddha University and the IKS Heritage Association (IKSHa), the three-day conference (24–26 July 2026) celebrates the richness of Indian Knowledge Systems while fostering global academic dialogue. With 385 research abstracts received and around 75 high-quality research papers selected after a rigorous peer-review process involving 150 expert reviewers, the conference reflects the growing global interest in IKS.



✨ A Landmark Initiative to Preserve India's Buddhist Heritage

Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, in collaboration with the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA), Ministry of Culture, Government of India, laid the foundation stone for the upcoming "An Exhibition Celebrating the Spread of Buddhism."

The foundation stone was laid by Prof. Rana Pratap Singh, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor, Gautam Buddha University, in the presence of Prof. Rajeev Varshney (Dean Academics), Prof. Chander Kumar Singh (Registrar), Mr. S. K. Misra (Director, Works), Dr. Chintala Venkata Sivasai (Head, School of Buddhist Studies & Civilization and Director, International Affairs), Dr. Ansari (Additional Director), Dr. Shobha Ram (Assistant Engineer), officials from the Directorate of Works, faculty members, staff, monks, students, and university officials.

The ceremony was enriched by the serene Buddha Vandana performed by the monks and students of the School of Buddhist Studies and Civilization, symbolizing peace, harmony, and compassion.

The proposed exhibition will showcase the historical spread of Buddhism, its philosophy, art, culture, and global influence, reaffirming GBU's commitment to preserving India's civilizational heritage and promoting international academic collaboration.

Gautam Buddha University is set to host renowned scholars from across the globe from 24–26 July for the International Conference on Indian Knowledge Systems in collaboration with IKSHA.
