The Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET), under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized an insightful workshop on “Effective Sales and Marketing Strategies for Start-ups” on 28th January 2026.

The workshop was graced by the esteemed presence of Chief Guest & Speaker, Founder & CEO Mr. Sunny Patwa, along with a team of 4–5 experienced industry experts with a strong focus on theory and practical industry exposure. Ms. Samyakta Jain, Academic Counselor – IT & EdTech Programs, also contributed valuable insights during the session.

The workshop aimed to equip budding entrepreneurs, innovators, and students with practical knowledge of modern sales techniques, branding strategies, customer engagement, and market positioning essential for building successful start-ups in today’s competitive business environment. The session provided valuable insights into identifying target audiences, creating impactful marketing campaigns, digital promotion techniques, and developing sustainable business growth strategies.

Participants actively engaged in discussions, interactive activities, and real-world case studies that enhanced their understanding of how strategic sales and marketing play a crucial role in transforming innovative ideas into successful ventures. The Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET), under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), proudly participated in the prestigious Design Spark Challenge held on 25th–26th March 2026 at SIPCOT IT Park, Siruseri, Chennai All India Level. Competing against 35 talented teams from across the nation, Team 𝗔𝗦𝗣𝗜𝗥𝗢𝗙𝗬 from LIET showcased exceptional creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills to secure the 🥇 1st Place in the Design Spark Challenge 2026!

This remarkable achievement reflects the spirit of innovation, teamwork, and dedication fostered at LIET. The competition provided students with an immersive platform to explore design thinking, creativity, and real-world problem-solving approaches.

A heartfelt thanks to Dr. Anbu Rathinavel and Arun Jain from the School of Design Thinking & Intellect Design Arena Ltd. for organizing such an inspiring and enriching experience that empowered young innovators to think beyond boundaries.

Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET), under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized a Workshop on Design Thinking, Critical Thinking & Innovation Design on 1st & 2nd December 2025, aimed at nurturing creativity, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills among students.

The workshop was enriched by the presence of distinguished experts Mr. Sanjeev Sharma, Mr. P. S. Mukharjee, and Mr. Mahipal Singh, who shared their valuable insights and experiences with the participants. The session provided in-depth understanding of design thinking methodologies and critical thinking frameworks that help in identifying user needs, defining problems clearly, and developing innovative and sustainable solutions.

Through interactive discussions, practical examples, and thought-provoking activities, the experts emphasized empathy-driven design, creative ideation, and innovation-oriented thinking. Students actively participated and gained hands-on exposure to innovation design concepts essential for engineering, entrepreneurship, and industry readiness.

The Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET), under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized an Innovation & Entrepreneurship Outreach Program in Schools on 17th December 2025. The initiative aimed to instill a spirit of innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial thinking among school students at an early stage of their academic journey.

The session was graced by Prof. (Dr.) S.P. Dwivedi, whose expert insights and motivational guidance inspired students to think beyond conventional learning and explore innovative ideas. He emphasized the importance of problem-solving, critical thinking, and the role of youth in shaping a self-reliant and innovation-driven nation.

Through interactive sessions, idea-sharing activities, and real-world examples, students were introduced to the fundamentals of startups, innovation processes, and entrepreneurship. The Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET), under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), proudly hosted IDEATHON 1.0 on 08th–09th December 2025, creating a vibrant platform for innovation, creativity, and entrepreneurial excellence.

Over the course of two exciting days, participants from diverse domains came together to brainstorm, design, and present groundbreaking ideas aimed at solving real-world challenges. The event was filled with energy, enthusiasm, and a spirit of collaboration as teams worked tirelessly to transform their concepts into viable solutions.

Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET), under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully organized an Expert Talk on Technology Readiness Level (TRL), Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL), Innovation Readiness Level (IRL), IP Commercialization, and Technology Transfer on 16th January 2026. The session aimed to provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of how innovative ideas and research can be transformed into market-ready technologies and successful commercial products.

The expert speaker explained the various stages of Technology Readiness Levels and how innovators, researchers, and startups can assess the maturity of their technologies before commercialization. The session also covered Manufacturing Readiness Level and Innovation Readiness Level, highlighting the journey from idea development to product manufacturing and market launch. Participants also gained knowledge about Intellectual Property commercialization, licensing, patents, and the process of technology transfer from institutions to industry.

The session was highly informative and beneficial for students, innovators, and aspiring entrepreneurs, enhancing their knowledge about innovation commercialization, startup development, and technology management.

The event was graced by Pallavi Agarwal, Founder & CEO, and Sachin Kapoor, Founder & CEO, as distinguished guests. Their valuable insights, industry perspectives, and motivational interaction with students added immense value to the program and inspired participants to think innovatively and entrepreneurially.

The event focused on enabling participants to ideate, design, and rapidly prototype AI-driven solutions addressing real-world and industry-relevant challenges. Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology (LIET), under the aegis of the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), successfully conducted an enriching session on “IPR Basics for Innovators & Entrepreneurs” on 26th September 2025, led by Mrs. Madhu Singh.

The program was designed to sensitize students, researchers, and budding entrepreneurs about the strategic importance of Intellectual Property Rights in today’s knowledge-driven economy. Ms. Madhu Singh shared valuable insights on key aspects such as types of IPR, benefits of patenting, protection of creative works, branding through trademarks, and the critical role of IPR in startups and technology transfer.

Participants gained clarity on how safeguarding intellectual assets not only protects innovation but also enhances credibility, valuation, and market potential of startups. The interactive discussions encouraged attendees to proactively identify, document, and protect their ideas at an early stage of innovation.
