Painting is a way for children to do many important things: convey ideas, express emotion, use their senses, explore color, explore process and outcomes, and create aesthetically pleasing works and experiences.

Develops important personality and career building skills. Classroom teaching inculcates conflict resolving skills, presentation skills when it comes to presenting their ideas confidently in front of peers, develops team spirit and teaches them to get along with those from different cultural backgrounds.

Fine motor skills are activities in which you use the small muscles in your hands and wrists to make precise movements. They're different from gross motor skills like running and jumping, which use larger muscles.
