On Thursday, November 21, 2024, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐲, 𝐒𝐌𝐒&𝐑, 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐨𝐫𝐠𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐝𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐜 𝐎𝐚𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐲. This heartfelt event emphasized the invaluable contributions of cadavers to medical education and research.

Under the 𝐅𝐚𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐀𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, MBBS students from the 2021 and 2022 batches participated in this initiative. The initiative was carried out in the village Ghanghola, Greater Noida. The 𝐃𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐦𝐲, 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 (𝐒𝐌𝐒&𝐑), 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥, organised a "𝐑𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐬𝐡𝐨𝐩" featuring multiple robotic systems, and the 𝐅𝐀𝐑𝐈𝐒 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐚𝐯𝐞, from July 4th to 6th, 2024. This workshop provided hands-on experience with various robotic systems used in essential and speciality robotic surgeries. World-renowned trainers taught the intricacies of robotic surgery. The event included live surgical procedures with different robotic platforms and hands-on workshops for robotic surgery. The workshop successfully enhanced participants' skills and knowledge in robotic surgery, paving the way for advancements in medical education and practice.

 

The 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐥 of the 𝐒𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐬 & 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 (SMS&R) at 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐚 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥, organized an 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐓𝐚𝐥𝐤 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 titled " 𝐁𝐞𝐲𝐨𝐧𝐝 𝐁𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐍𝐄𝐄𝐓 𝐏𝐆." The session was convened by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐍𝐢𝐫𝐮𝐩𝐦𝐚 𝐆𝐮𝐩𝐭𝐚, 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐌𝐒&𝐑, and co-convened by 𝐃𝐫. 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐣𝐚 𝐑𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐠𝐢, 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞 𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐌𝐒&𝐑. The guest speaker for the session was 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐣𝐢𝐭𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐢𝐚, 𝐚𝐧 𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐮𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐁𝐁𝐒 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐜𝐡 𝐨𝐟 𝟐𝟎𝟏𝟐, currently working in the Department of Nephrology at MAMC & Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi. 𝐃𝐫. 𝐀𝐧𝐤𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐚, 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐥𝐮𝐦𝐧𝐢 𝐂𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐀𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐟𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐨𝐫 in the Department of Anatomy at SMS&R, served as the organizing secretary of the event.

The talk aimed to provide insights and guidance to current students and alumni about opportunities and career pathways beyond the NEET PG examination. It was a valuable session for attendees to learn from Dr. Laroia's experiences and expertise in the field of nephrology.

The event signified a groundbreaking initiative, as 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐚 𝐇𝐨𝐬𝐩𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 introduced 𝐜𝐮𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠-𝐞𝐝𝐠𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐧𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐲 into the lab environment for the 𝐟𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝. With 𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐢𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐫𝐨𝐛𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 available, the lab offered unparalleled opportunities for medical professionals, students & researchers to explore the intricacies of robotic surgery under the guidance of globally renowned experts from 𝐔.𝐒.𝐀. & 𝐔.𝐊.
