Seven innocent Cheetah have perished for no fault of their's. After their last spotting in Rewa in the 70s (there is dispute on exact dates, month and year) many experts had opined that Cheeta can not survive in India and no government pushed for their relocation in the state of MP. Prey overlap does not favour Cheetah in India as it does in Africa. There is plenty of small animals in vast plains of Africa. This is a sorry state where decisions on conservation are influenced by political motives and not by the specialists.
