RESSummit 2047 is a flagship, multi-stakeholder platform designed to advance evidence-based public policy, institutional capacity building, and operational resilience in the face of climate change, disasters, health emergencies, and industrial risks.

Aligned with India’s Vision 2047, the 2026 Edition will convene senior policymakers, defence and disaster management institutions, academia, international experts, and practitioners to strengthen national and regional preparedness frameworks through actionable policy dialogue and applied knowledge exchange.

Excited to share an important collaboration in advancing resilience leadership.

Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee and Deakin University (Australia) are joining hands to establish a Centre of Excellence on Resilience Leadership at IITR’s Greater Noida Campus. This Centre will focus on professional training, certificate programmes, and research in disaster management, humanitarian response, and climate resilience towards strengthening capacities across globe.

The Letter of Intent (LoI) was signed on 08th December 2025 in New Delhi, in the presence of Hon’ble Jason Clare, Minister for Education of Australia; and Hon’ble Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of Education of India. The CoE is planned for launch in early 2026.

This partnership marks a significant step towards building stronger leadership for a safer and more resilient future.

Delighted to share that the 2-day Annual Learning and Planning Workshop on Disaster Risk Resilience, Response, and Recovery at GNEC IIT Roorkee has been successfully inaugurated by Director of IIT Roorkee, Prof. K.K. Pant, paving the way for impactful discussions and innovative solutions. The session also featured insightful addresses by Prof. V.K. Sharma, Prof. Akhilesh Gupta, and Vikrant Jain, and was chaired by Anil K. Gupta.

The DISCOM Capacity Building Program, organized under the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, was held on July 15th, 2023, to July 16th, 2023, at GNEC, I.I.T. Roorkee, Greater Noida. Technical and financial experts from 10 northern states were present to interact with officials from the Bureau of Energy. The program's objective is to equip the experts deployed by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency, Ministry of Power, with the skills and knowledge necessary to make DISCOMS profitable and sustainable.
