The students of the Department of Economics, Planning and Development bid adieu to the ‘Class of 2023’ on 13th May 2023. On the occasion were present all the faculty members and students of B.A. (Honors) Economics and M.A. Economics.

On 17th March 2023, National Conference “Indian Economy-Achievements Prospects and Challenges” was held by the Department of Economics, Planning and Development, Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida under the direction of the Head of the Department Dr. Ombir Singh who was the Convenor of the programme. The occasion was graced by Prof. Dr. RK Sinha, Vice Chancellor, GBU, Prof. Dr. Bandana Pandey, Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Neeti Rana, Dean, School of Management, researchers and esteemed economists from all over India. The Hon’ble Chief Guest Prof. Shakti Kumar, Centre of Economic Studies and Planning, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi inaugurated the ceremony with his wise words on the theme of the Conference. The Department of Economics, Planning and Development at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, organised “Neo Fiesta”- a freshers party to welcome all the new students of the programmes, B.A. (Honors) Economics and M.A. Economics, Planning and Development to a new chapter in their life.

On this occasion the Head of the Department, Dr. Ombir Singh motivated students to pursue their dreams with full vigour while also enjoying life at the same time.

Additionally the Programme Coordinator, Dr. Roopali Srivastava, made students aware of the importance of education in leading a value driven life.

Also present were other faculty members, Dr. Amir Rehmani, Dr. Vikas Sonker, Dr. Pooja Rani, Ms. Sushmita and Ms. Divya Lohani.

The Department of Economics, Planning and Development conducted the orientation ceremony for it’s programmes B.A. (Honors) Economics and M.A. Economics, Planning & Development on 27.09.2022. The ocassion was graced by the Dean, School of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Neeti Rana, HoD, Dr. Ombir Singh, Programme Coordinator, Dr. Roopali Srivastava and faculty members Dr. Vikas Sonker and Ms. Sushmita.
