From Classroom to Industry: An Experiential Learning Visit

SHIPS, Goraya organised an industrial visit for the students of Grade XII Science to Fine Switches, Phagwara. The visit offered students valuable firsthand exposure to the industrial environment and helped them understand how Physics concepts are applied in real-life manufacturing processes.

A major highlight was observing the manufacturing of LED bulbs, including component assembly, electrical connections, testing, quality checks, and packaging. Students gained practical insights into concepts such as current, voltage, resistance, electrical power, heat management, and energy efficiency.

The visit helped bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application while highlighting the importance of precision, safety, teamwork, and quality control in manufacturing. The students were accompanied by Mr. Nitish, who guided and supervised them throughout the visit.

The Principal remarked that such industrial visits play a vital role in connecting classroom learning with real-world experiences and inspire students to explore the practical applications of scientific knowledge and future career opportunities.

SHIPS GORAYA CELEBRATES KARATE CHAMPIONS!

SHIPS Goraya proudly celebrates the remarkable achievement of its young karate champions at the 8th ISKF Open Karate Cup 2026, held at Jalandhar on 9 August 2026.

Rudra Singh Kapoor of Grade III secured the Gold Medal, while Riaan Singh Kapoor of Grade III clinched the Silver Medal, bringing laurels to their families, academy and the city of Goraya.

The achievement reflects their dedication, discipline, perseverance and sporting spirit, under the expert guidance of Vishal Kumar (Jass Maan), International Martial Arts Coach and Punjab State Awardee, of Shaurya Martial Arts Sports Academy (Regd.), Goraya.

Principal Mrs Arti Sobti congratulated Rudra and Riaan on their outstanding achievement and extended her heartfelt appreciation to their families for their constant support and encouragement.

The saga continues! In Part 2 of our Independence Day special, our talented students recreate one of the most dramatic and pivotal chapters of the freedom struggle: the midnight arrests of our greatest leaders.

On August 9, 1942, in a sweeping crackdown known as Operation Zero Hour, the British government arrested Mahatma Gandhi and the entire Congress leadership hoping to crush the Quit India Movement before it even began. But as our students beautifully capture in this video, the arrests didn’t break India’s spirit—they ignited a wildfire. 🔥

Watch as our young actors portray the resilience, sacrifice, and unbreakable resolve of the freedom fighters who stepped out of the shadows to lead when their heroes were taken away.

SHIPS SOARS HIGH AT JISSC POETICAL RECITATION COMPETITION!

SHIPS, Goraya takes immense pride in congratulating Humreet Kaur of Grade II for securing the Second Position in Category I at the JISSC Poetical Recitation Competition, held at Swami Sant Dass Public School, Phagwara.

Competing against 51 teams, Humreet mesmerised the audience with her confident delivery, expressive presentation, and commendable command of poetry. Her remarkable performance reflected her dedication, perseverance, and passion for poetry.

Adding another feather to SHIPS’ cap, Tejas of Grade V participated in Category II and secured a place among the Top 8 contestants, competing against 53 teams. His commendable performance showcased his confidence, talent, and dedication.

The school applauds Ms Sandeep for her able guidance and mentorship. Principal Mrs Arti Sobti congratulated both students on their remarkable performances and appreciated their parents for their constant encouragement and support. She also acknowledged the valuable efforts of Ms Monika Bedi and Ms Rosy in preparing the drafts.
