Hosts International Conference on Emerging & Sustainable Practices in Management – 2026

The two-day International Conference on Emerging and Sustainable Practices in Management – 2026, organised by the Management Studies Department was inaugurated today at Aryabhatta Hall by Prof. Ankur Sinha, IIMA. Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma presided over the inaugural session.

Mr. Mohammad Askari, Oman, was present as the Special International Guest during the inaugural function, while Prof. K.S. Thakur, Vice-Chancellor, Tribal University, Rajasthan, also addressed the gathering.

Other eminent speakers invited for the conference include Prof. Ashish Bajpai, Director, IMS-BHU; Dr. Hamid Saremi from Iran; Prof. Aseem Kumar Mukherjee, University of Allahabad; and Dr. Walid Mutahar Abdulhadi, University of Malaya, Malaysia.

The conference brings together academicians, researchers, industry experts and management professionals from India and abroad to deliberate on emerging management practices, sustainability, technological transformation and responsible business.

Addressing the gathering, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma highlighted the challenges of the VUCA environment and emphasised the need to place sustainability at the heart of contemporary management and development.

The conference features discussions on AI, blockchain, green finance, strategic management, financial markets and sustainable business practices, providing participants with valuable academic, industry and international perspectives.

Organises Voluntary Blood Donation Camp; 53 Units Collected

MMMUT, through its NSS Cell, organised a voluntary blood donation camp in collaboration with BRD Medical College, Gorakhpur.

The camp witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and members of the University community, resulting in the collection of 53 units of blood for patients in need.

Hon’ble VC Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma inaugurated the camp and felicitated the donors with medals and certificates of appreciation, acknowledging their spirit of service and encouraging them to continue contributing to socially meaningful causes. Registrar Shri C P Priyadarshi also donated blood and contributed to the initiative.

The initiative reflects MMMUT’s commitment to nurturing compassion, social responsibility and a spirit of service among its students and University community.

Hosts TCS Technology Day: Fostering Innovation, AI Skills & Industry Readiness!

MMMUT hosted TCS Technology Day under the aegis of the TCS Academic Alliances Group and the Training & Placement Cell, with the support of MMMUT Reso.

More than 240 students actively participated in the programme, which featured leadership interactions, an expert session on Agentic AI, and hands-on learning sessions on emerging technologies. TCS experts also engaged with students on evolving industry requirements, emerging technologies and career opportunities in the technology sector.

The second phase featured an AI Hackathon, where 90+ teams demonstrated their technical skills, creativity, teamwork and problem-solving abilities by developing technology-driven solutions to real-world challenges.

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, the NSS Cell of MMMUT, Gorakhpur organized an Orientation Programme for newly admitted first-year students, followed by a grand Flag March across the campus. The programme was conducted under the guidance of NSS Coordinator Dr. Satyaprakash Yadav. Carrying the Tricolour with pride, students marched with enthusiasm and discipline, spreading the message of national unity, civic responsibility, and service to the nation.

The initiative inspired students to embrace the values of service, discipline, social responsibility, and active nation-building, while fostering respect for the National Flag and a deeper sense of responsibility towards the nation.

celebrated the 80th Independence Day of India with great enthusiasm and national fervour.

The celebrations commenced with Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma paying floral tributes to Bharat Ratna Pt. Madan Mohan Malaviya and Maa Saraswati. She then unfurled the National Flag at Bismil Park and inspected the parade presented by NCC cadets and security personnel.

A vibrant Tiranga Yatra witnessed the participation of faculty members, officers, staff, and students, who marched across the campus carrying the Tricolour and raising patriotic slogans. Winners of the Run for Freedom and students who excelled in NPTEL examinations were felicitated during the programme.

Addressing the gathering, the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor emphasized that freedom is inseparable from self-discipline and responsibility. She urged everyone to draw inspiration from the sacrifices of freedom fighters, uphold constitutional values, and contribute to nation-building through sincere dedication to their duties.

The celebration also featured patriotic songs, cultural performances, and student reflections, concluding with the National Anthem.

Strengthening Excellence through Collective Leadership at !

Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. Anupama Kaushik Sharma held an interactive meeting with faculty, Deans, Heads of Departments and administrative officers, focusing on strengthening quality teaching, impactful research, sponsored projects, interdisciplinary collaboration, innovation and student-centric practices.

Congratulations to Dr. Pooja Singh, Department of Chemistry & Environmental Science on securing a ₹13.86 lakh research grant from CST Uttar Pradesh for a three-year project on solar-driven CO₂ fixation and sustainable organic synthesis.

The project will be led by Dr. Pooja Singh as Principal Investigator, with Prof. Rajesh Kumar Yadav and Prof. D. K. Dwivedi serving as Co-Principal Investigators.

This achievement reflects MMMUT’s growing research excellence and commitment to advancing sustainability, green chemistry, and climate-resilient technologies.

MMMUT successfully concluded a 10-day National Faculty Development Programme on “Harnessing AI Techniques for Social Problem Solving and Sustainable Development Goals” in collaboration with PDPM IIITDM Jabalpur under the MeitY initiative.

The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from 91 faculty members, researchers, students and professionals from across India. Experts from premier institutions including IITs, IISER, RGIPT, MANIT and international academia shared insights on AI, Deep Learning, Generative AI, Digital Twins, Healthcare Applications, Data Privacy and Sustainable Development Goals.

Four faculty members have secured research support from the Uttar Pradesh Council of Science and Technology for three significant research projects addressing emerging challenges in healthcare, IoT connectivity and sustainable waste management.

Dr. Sudhanshu Verma,ECED, has received a grant of ₹14.08 lakh for developing a compact, high-gain planar antenna for reliable and energy-efficient IoT connectivity across urban and rural settings, with potential applications in smart agriculture, healthcare, smart cities and rural digital inclusion.

Dr. Praveen Kumar Rao, ECED has been sanctioned ₹14.58 lakh for developing an ISM-band antenna system for early breast cancer detection and electromagnetic treatment assessment, aimed at supporting affordable and accessible healthcare solutions.

Dr. Pallav Gupta and Dr Virendra Kumar, MED have received approval for a three-year project on sustainable disposal and recycling of funeral shrouds and ceremonial textiles. The research will explore sustainable textile recovery, compostable materials and environmentally responsible waste-management solutions.

These projects reflect MMMUT’s growing research strength, interdisciplinary innovation and commitment to developing technology-driven solutions with direct societal and environmental impact.
