“Samvidhan Diwas” observed at MPIT Gorakhpur
Every year, November 26 is celebrated as Samvidhan Diwas (Constitution Day) in order to
commemorate the day of the adoption of the Constitution of India.
Constitution Day was observed at Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology (MPIT), Gorakhpur,
with great enthusiasm and reverence. Students, faculty, and staff gathered in the campus ground
for the solemn "Preamble Pledge" ceremony, conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the
Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Government of India.
The pledge was administered by Head Academics, Mr. Sachidanand Chaturvedi, and Head
Administration, Dr. Sanjeev Kumar Sharma. Assistant Professor, Mr. Darshan Srivastav delivered
an enlightening session on the significance and purpose of the Indian Constitution, highlighting
the values enshrined in the Preamble. During the event, leaders and great personalities associated
with the Constituent Assembly were remembered, and their invaluable contributions to drafting
the Constitution were celebrated.
Students were also educated about the Fundamental Duties outlined in Article 51A of the
Constitution. The event concluded with patriotic slogans and a collective promise to uphold the
principles of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity, which form the foundation of our
Constitution. The ceremony served as a meaningful reminder of our duties as citizens and the
values that unite and strengthen our nation.
